Definitely alot more than you expect. Good food, airy wood vibes,Thrift shops for days. Good quality items. Don't even bother going to the pet shop for toys or leashes. We even adopted a fellow bachelor.

My boyfriend isn’t the biggest Christmas fan but I am, so I whisked him off to KLOOF SPCA so we could buy our first ever Christmas tree and some decorations to kick off the rapidly approaching festive season. The most BEAUTIFUL Sonto helped us find the perfect tree and showed us where to find all the best Christmas decorations. What a gorgeous experience. Thank you Sonto!

I don’t know . I must say the security checks are such a hassle and the guards don’t even tell you that you need your licence scanned only after you are half way through they tell you to come back to get scanned , that’s in and out . The shops I must say are not great , men’s clothing is terrible (hardly any) and while I was there I saw a whole bunch of men’s clothes getting donated but staff where opening bags getting first picks on the items which I hope they are paying for and all the public is left with is work or competition clothing , who’s going to buy that ? what’s this no selling of cages storey , they have there animals in cages but tell you you can’t buy a cage because it’s not right for the animal . I have a hamster . Now I can’t buy a cage there but they using it as rubbish or it’s in the garden , hanging from ceilings but I am not allowed to buy one . The pricing is supposed to be good but some items I feel are over priced , why would I buy there if I pay the 20% or 30% more and get a new one. Anyways wasn’t all doom and gloom just frustrating. Not the worst but definitely not my best shop.

Thank you SPCA, I commend you for being there for animals during their darkest nights When they are lost, cold and scared. Many of us visit your lovely shops and tea garden and this is an initiative to raise much needed funds. This SPCA is so amazing. The staff work so hard to keep it clean and comfortable. I have experienced bringing a stray dog to your 24 hour kennels at midnight. The night was dark but your lighting was excellent and guided me. The kennel was spotless and she was given a clean bowl of food and water and a nice big blanket. There was a Tarpaulin to protect her from the wind and rain. The security guard was so helpful and polite. Her owners fetched her the next day so once again thanks to Kloof and Highway SPCA another little soul is at home and safe. 1000 stars of gratitude to you ✨️

(18 June 2022) Enjoyed my day with the kids at the Kloof & Highway SPCA Market Day, which also celebrated Father's Day, which was the next day. The kids had fun on the jungle gym and other facilities available for them to play on. There was a variety of stall selling anything from clothing to antiques to food. There was also a live musician who entertained all with a well selected repertoire of popular tunes. While the children played, the adults made their way in droves to the wine and cocktail bar which was available, and which served a range of familiar and exotic drinks. It was good to peruse the dogs available for adoption as well as the well-kept grounds of the property. My only point of improvement would be that there was some confusion for myself (and I noticed other visitors as well) with the ticket system for meals and drinks. A clearer description and explanation of the process would help. All in all, an enjoyable outing and it was pleasing to see the establishment doing so well in spite of a difficult economic environment. The SPCA carries out important work, and is definitely a worthy cause for all to support. (June 2018) Recently got my two newest best friends (two Labrador cross dogs) from the Kloof and Highway SPCA. I loved how the SPCA staff were well organised and made the process of adopting the dogs enjoyable. I also found Adoption Officer Tanya and Inspector Petra highly knowledgeable about dogs and both gave me helpful information and advice. The premises were also clean and well kept, and showed how much the organisation itself respects the animals it serves. I urge all to support the Kloof and Highway SPCA in any way you can.

I have never been so frustrated in my life before, I even ended up dropping the call which was rude of me but I had no choice because I was going to speak my mind. Not helpful at all, instead she's rude in a subtle way. I'm so livid

Neat premises, bubbly, friendly staff who are passionate about their jobs and animals 🐕 A lovely place to bring yourself, family and pets 🐕 for a little walk, view the animals or to just enjoy a little shopping at the shops and stalls available. Animals are well taken care of and I encourage others to adopt a pet from Kloof SPCA, you will not regret it 🩷❤️🐈 🐕
