This is the best Three Star accommodation we have ever stayed at! The service was great, everything was very clean and the property is maintained very well. We were very pleased with everything! Seeing the crocodiles in the river and the hippos in the morning (03:00/04:00) in front of my chalet was breath taking! I will recommend Komati River Chalets any time.

Getting there was a mission due to the traffic to the Mozambique border. The other alternative route meant crossing a flooding low laying bridge. Either than those minor challenges the venue itself was in great condition, well maintained and chalets were clean and the whole family was happy and had no complaints whatsoever. ||||Even the train that pass by was not as noisy as other people described. Overall we had a great stay.

We had a lovely time all though it was just for one day but it's amazing 👏 I give it to Komati River Chalets the best place to be on holiday staff is very friendly and I give 5 stars to the chef 👨‍🍳 price are amazing. Komati River Chalets are a hidden gem! From arrival to departure, everything was easy and effortless. The friendliness was contagious, and the super peaceful setting was the perfect way to end a day spent on the road.||Being located within 2 km of the border makes it an ideal stay and definitely contributes to a stress-free border crossing.||It will definitely be our go-to when crossing the border at Komatipoort.||

We have stayed at Komati River Chalets multiple times with our American visitors while planning a trip to Kruger Park. We have used both the family houses and the bungalows. Family units are comfortable, but you should know that one room has only a tub, while the other has a shower. Bungalows have comfy beds and a small kitchenette suitable for a quick breakfast before an early morning drive. The location is beautiful, with views of the Komati River. Large 4-legged visitors have even greeted us in the early mornings, which is a caution for those who don't know the stories about hippos being the most dangerous animal in all of Africa. TVs are small, AC works great, the refrigerator is big enough for your next braai and breakfast, the train runs through the night and might wake you, and you are about 5 minutes from the local grocery store. Best of all, the staff are great, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. It's a safe place and a solid location for the money.

The place is very good, clean and refreshing the employees are very welcoming and they are very organised. We had a very good time with my family. We will surely come back.
