Picanha Grill, Guest House & Events Venue

I recently travelled from Australia to Nigel to visit family, and choosing to stay at Picanha Grill, Guest House and Events Venue was one of the best decisions I made. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. Diane went above and beyond to accommodate my early check-in and even took the time to give me a full tour of the property — a gesture that immediately made me feel welcome and at home. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bar staff are attentive and professional, and the wait staff are just as friendly and efficient. The food is generous, delicious, and served with care. Every part of my 4-night stay was consistently impressive. This is truly a world-class venue. Dirkie Grobler and his team should be incredibly proud of what they’ve created at Picanha Grill. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning on my next trip to South Africa.

I have no words to describe the experience.The waitress could have been more attentive but outside of that?What a lovely place.The portions are generous,the food is amazing and out of this world.Their non-alcoholic drinks have an exciting collection of drinks that are not just the usual soda's and coffee.Perfect family environment.I can't find words to describe what an amazing restaurant it is.

Sunday afternoon 15h00 21st Dec 2025 Picanha, shame on you. I read your other reviews and I can't believe it is the same restaurant that we visit today. We planned for a good steak afternoon and were looking forward for a good late lunch. What a disappoinment we were seated by the waiter on the outside, the table was full of stains, he then disappear and we waited for 15 minutes without even cleaning the table or request what we will have to drink. We require service from another waiter and she also disappear without any service. The service is not to standard and we will not recommend Picanha to anybody. We left and I raised my concern to the floor manager who was not much concerned. We had lunch at Bossa and it was a good experience. Good service, clean table, clean floors, friendly waiter and a good steak. Thanks for NOTHING Picanha

We had our year end function @ Picanha. All 69 orders were handled with professionality and skill and arrived perfectly just like we ordered. TK and the rest of the waiters and staff were so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it very much!

We visited Picanha Grill on Sunday, 30 November 2025 at around 16,30. We waited a while at the entrance before a waiter came and just walked past us, we called him and asked to be assisted. He told us to sit anywhere while continuing to walk. We sat outside for approximately 20 minutes without anyone attending to us. The same waiter who told us to sit anywhere continued around us ignoring us, we ended up leaving the establishment. Very disappointed with the "non" service.

On our recent trip to South Africa we booked a room for 3 nights online with hotels.com and paid the full price. The day we arrived, after a long journey, we where told that the Guest House did not receive the money from hotels.com and that we had to pay again. Because we were tired, we paid with the understanding that they would sort out the payment with hotels.com and reimburse us. Now we cannot get our money back. The management sent me a screenshot showing that there is a security issue with there system that is preventing them from receive payment. Hotels.com don't respond to our emails. Update on 17 Nov 2025: The management reach out to us and are trying to help us resolve this issue. Update on 19 Nov 2025: We received a refund from the online booking service! Thank you to the management of the lodge!

I hired the venue for a birthday party. Marike and her team went out of their way to make sure everything was as requested. Great and friendly service. The food was delicious and above expectations. I would recommend this venue to anyone
