Riviera on Vaal Country Club

This is what I'm talking about. I love your bugher guys, I love everything about you guys. tranquility n supper staff members. I was supposed to come today again, unfortunately time was not on my side. we ll meet soooooner

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The golf course is in an extremely poor condition and honestly feels like it should be closed until proper maintenance is done. There was a strong smell throughout the course, almost like drain/sewage water running through the area, which made it very unpleasant to play. The tee boxes and greens were also badly neglected, with grass not even cut properly. Overall, the course is not being maintained to a standard that justifies paying to play here. I wouldn’t recommend it until major improvements are made.

The service is so poor that l feel sorry for the waiters wo do not even know what excuse to use next. Drinks take 45 mins to arrive, food is served if and when its ready, meaning we dont eat together. Shocking, l know as eating out is a sharing experience. The eating area is littered with serviettes, slips and straws etc. The bathrooms are unkept and wet. Sadly l will not visit this place any longer. Service is sad and dismismal.

Phoned ahead of time to find out if the 9 hole pitch n putt course is still open to which the response was 'yes' HOWEVER... the quality of the course was completely run down and physically Un-playable. Very disappointed

Really enjoyed a great round of golf at Riviera on Vaal yesterday. The sun was just rising over the course with an early 7am tee off. I absolutely loved the holes along the river banks and the greens were quite fast. Will definitely be back for another round soon.

Absolutely a fantastic hotel and resort on famous vaal river Service and staff is fantastic and friendly Peaceful & classy golf course

Course is slowly Improving in comparison to January 2024 A few of the greens need some serious care. Carts are in good condition. Friendly staff. Overall pleased with the improvements.
