Very Safe. People Always Visible. 25-30 kins away from the mall. Very clean place. Good for walks, Winding an bird 🐦 an ducks watching an feeding. Could work for Photographic scenes for creativeness.

Beautiful park, animal friendly, picnic spots. No toilets
Homestead Lake parkrun is a well organised professionally run event. The park is in superb condition, maintained by the residents, not the municipality. This was the 5th year anniversary as well as the race director, Pam’s 50th as RD. The course is an out and back, heading east on the grass, down to the turn,. Then you head up west on the path with the dam on your right. You go right up to Mercury Street for the turn. Across the road you can see the Atlasville parkrun going on. After turning you head back east all the way back to the first turn where you turn back east and run back along the grass to the finish. If you’ve got the Legg’s, this is a fast one. There is plenty of parking along the dam, so don’t get tricked into finding the first parking in the suburbs ( it does annoy the residents). Overall a good run. 8/10 Tourist #24
One of the more scenic park runs in Gauteng. Very well managed. Park is clean and well maintained.
Awesome place for parkrun & picnic , safe area patrolled by both Saps & security companies, beautiful view. Biggest Problem is the toilets, OMG-nightmare, they are the Nogo Area, very very dirty, how I wish manucipality can do something by keeping place clean.
Excellent walk next to dam/lake. Awesome RD and team of volunteers. Will be back.
