Mooifontein Veterinary Hospital

Thank you Mooifontein Vet. First time we are dealing with them and wow what awesome service. On a Saturday night @ 20h30 to open the Vet to see us. Explaining wat has to be done. Step by Step. The time our baby was in the hospital. We received constants updates regarding the process. Thank you DR Pierce and DR Dube. Thank you for each staff who helped with our baby and given her the Love when we were not around.

We've been seeing Dr Pierce for many years. Him and the staff are knowledgeable, professional and set realistic expectations with every case taken on. He is trustworthy and you can feel confident and at ease leaving your animals with them, knowing they'll do everything they can. The practice is organized and has the correct systems in place. If you follow procedure and make an appointment or phone the emergency number you will be helped in a professional manner. Just as you would have a favourite house doctor, Mooifontein Vet is our go to at any hour for our animals.

We have been going to this animal hospital for decades. Dr Pierce is a phenomenal vet, he really cares about the animals he treats and follows up intensively afterwards. Keep up the excellent work doctor Pierce!

Dr. Pierce is an absolute gem as a vet. He is upfront about his post op expectations and tells you straight that the animals get priotlrity over the humans. We are grateful for his expertise and post-op follow up. He is a sage when it comes to veterinary advice. We highly recommend. He is treating our Russel currently and we have had the best experience.

The Mooifontein Vet Hospital saved my baby’s life. I went there desperate in the middle of the night and Dr Pierce was able to meet me at the hospital and assisted my pup diligently🙏🏽.After she was admitted, I received timeous updates on her condition. We received the best care at affordable rates🙏🏽 Will forever be grateful.

We recently took our two dogs – a Pekingese and a Boerboel/Rottweiler cross – to Dr. Pierce for a free consultation, and the experience was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he showed such genuine care and professionalism. Within just a few minutes, he understood each of their very different temperaments and approached them in exactly the right way. What we assumed was simply old age in our Pekingese turned out to be a treatable eye condition. Thanks to Dr. Pierce’s accurate diagnosis and prescribed medication, we saw visible improvements in his eyes within just 24 hours. It was nothing short of magnificent – Dr. Pierce truly is the "dog whisperer" of Kempton Park. Beyond his expertise, the practice also offers a variety of products to ensure your four-legged loved ones enjoy the best possible quality of life, especially in their senior years. I cannot recommend Dr. Pierce highly enough for his knowledge, compassion, and dedication to animal well-being.

Dr. Pierce is without a doubt one of the most dedicated and compassionate veterinarians I’ve ever met. When I brought my Rottweiler in with a stubborn ear infection that just wouldn’t clear, I expected the usual treatment plan – a quick fix and a follow-up. What I got instead was a vet who made it his personal mission to truly help my dog, not just treat the symptoms. After multiple ear flushes, Dr. Pierce didn’t stop there. He committed to walking the entire journey with us, consistently checking her ears weekly for months after treatment to ensure the infection didn’t return. Some weeks he saw her twice, others once – always thorough, always gentle, and always invested. We explored different diets, supplements, and environmental factors to try and identify the root cause of the recurring infection. We landed on the appropriate food and supplement that is working. Dr. Pierce never rushed the process or gave up. He treated my dog like his own, and it was clear that his work is more than just a job – it’s a calling. If you’re looking for a vet who doesn’t settle for quick fixes and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of your pets, I cannot recommend Dr. Pierce enough. His heart is fully in his work, and it shows in every visit. Mooifontein Vet is lucky to have him – and so are all the animals he helps.
