Well received. We brought in a turtle dove that the dogs got hold of and was left without tail and wing feathers. They gladly took it in and promised to release it once it is able to fly.

Spoke to Sandy on the phone and with the help of my brother in law and friend we managed to get an injured bird to the center. Sandy told me the bird was going to be okay which made my day! 🙂

We’ve taken a number of different birds who have either been caught by cats or just found to not be in a greatest condition. Each time we have been here we have been assisted by someone different but they have always been super friendly and helpful. We were there again and they getting a number of birds ready for release.

One of the stray cats caught a mourning dove; it lost lots of feathers on its tail and an injury on one side of its wings. I took care of the bird for 2 days, but since I had to go abroad, I was not able to take care of the bird, and I'm sure I can't let it go with such conditions; it might not be able to fly properly and get its own food 🥺😢. So I restlessly looked for a wildlife animal sanctuary that could help me take care of the birds, and I have found this place. I contacted Margi, and she allowed me to bring the bird to Friends of Free Wildlife. I've met Janet there and told her about the condition I'm facing. I'm so glad that after a few weeks, I've got news that the condition of the bird went well and it got released into the wild. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the help and the quick responses in those critical hours 💕.

What a well run rehab centre. They do amazing work. They can always do with more volunteers and funds. It is clear that they are there for the animals, and they use every last penny wisely. Definitely an NPO that I will support. Well done to the team.
