Beautiful healing emergency space, friendly staff from reception to nurses and doctors.. My daugher was seen 2 weeks ago, treated by the casualty staff then admitted by orthopaedic specialist Dr Van der Merwe. What a friendly lady! She took her time explaining the procedure also making sure my little girl was settled. Thank you Dr. The sisters in the ward were great, apparently my girl could not sleep alone so she spent hours and hours with them in the nursing bay.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the incredible team in the paediatric ward at Mediclinic Midstream — especially Merriam, Pretty, and Stella. They are truly exceptional nurses whose passion for their work shines through in everything they do. From the moment we arrived feeling uncertain about the road ahead, they welcomed us with such warmth and compassion. Their care, reassurance, and professionalism made sure we felt comfortable, supported, and at ease, helping to settle our nerves during a very emotional time. Their dedication to their patients and families does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for the kindness and care they showed us.

I am extremely grateful for MediClinic Midstream for making my stay as pleasant as possible. Every single staff member was great. My surgeon (Dr Anél Lengton) and my rheumatologist (Dr Gisela van Rooyen) moved mountains for me. I couldn't get any better treatment.

I recently had hand surgery performed by Dr. Van Der Merwe at this hospital and I couldn't be happier with the care I received. From start to finish, everything was smooth and efficient. The hospital itself is very clean, both inside and out, and has plenty of parking available, making it easy to get in and out. My overnight stay was great, and I felt well taken care of by the staff. I would definitely recommend Dr. Van Der Merwe and this hospital to anyone in need of similar care.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of care I received at this emergency ward. There was a clear lack of care, urgency, and compassion shown to me as a patient. Despite clearly stating and having it documented in my file that I am allergic to tramadol, a nurse still administered it. This is a serious patient safety issue and should never happen. I was required to return to the emergency ward three times before I was finally admitted for chronic bronchitis. During these visits, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. I was also sent home with incorrect medication dosages prescribed by a doctor, which put my health at further risk. It was extremely frustrating to feel that my symptoms were not taken seriously, seemingly due to my age. I was repeatedly met with assumptions that my condition was "anxiety-related" rather than being properly assessed and treated. An emergency ward should be a place of safety and trust. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues and improves patient care, safety protocols, and staff conduct.

The ER doctor was absolutely amazing. He explained everything every step of the way. He made me feel like I could ask questions and gain better understanding of what was going on. My nurse did a fantastic job at helping me, being there to support me and even anticipating what I would need. Really one of the best ER experiences I've had (and there have been many)
