Just needed more tea and coffee and sugar only 1 teabag and perhaps rooibos tea and dish towel to dry cups etc. Otherwise excellent
Unbelievably good curry dinner. Very spacious and well equipped rooms with fridge, microwave, TV, coffee plunger and everything you need. Really friendly and accommodating hosts. Great breakfast. It was my first stay and won't be my last - my new home away from home when traveling through the area.
We stopped here twice in a week, once on the way to and again on the way home, travelling between Durban and Jeffreys bay. We arrived after 21:00 going down and the staff greeted us with big smiles and were happy to help in any way they could! The rooms are basic but very comfortable and they even had the electric blankets on for our late arrival! The staff are very friendly and accommodating and it's a steal at the price we paid! Will definitely stop here next time I'm in Kokstad!
On route from Durban to Cape Town, our car broke down completely in Kokstad. We found Herbertdale who welcomed two very stressed people and gave us a lovely room with everything we needed to wait out the car repair for five days. Clean, very comfortable, and the manager and staff are top drawer. Totally recommend this home from home B&B. And the most beautiful garden too.
At the last minute accommodation was needed and Herbertdale rose to the occassion!||Amazing, friendly staff. Rooms stunning with everything plus for an overnight stay.||Garden is out of this world. Will definitely be back. Thank you
Very welcoming! Rooms comfortable and clean. Will stay there again. Will be great if coming for a wedding or a family get together. Staff very helpful and pleasant.||Easy to find in the Main Street in Kokstad.
A very cozy nice place to stay but would advice them to get bigger fans or to install aircons for the very small fan in the room did not help at all. But other than that the pleace was nice and people very freindly.
