Sanctuary Guest & Adventure Farm

The tents are very comfortable, neat and tidy. We had a lovely, relaxing stay. The gardens are magnificent and the hosts so welcoming and friendly. We had access to the whole farm which makes it perfect for long walks and cycling. We were unfortunately not able to get to the big dam for fishing as it was overgrown and not easy to get to. This is a perfect place for a restful getaway if you like nature and camping in luxury. The bonus is that you only need to take your clothes, food and drinks. Loved it.

We camped for a week in the spectacular gardens of Sanctuary Guest Farm, Cradock.I loved all the hidden pathways and the outdoor showers. The toilets were upmarket and clean. I especially loved the colour-coordinated flowers and the naughty little piglets. There are also Springbuck, female Nyala and merino sheep on the property. It is a pecan nut farm, run by a lovely farming family.If you are looking for a function venue with a difference I heartily recommend this place. Please just be aware that there is about 7km of gravel road which is hard on a caravan. Be prepared to go very slowly, but it is really worth it.

My husband & I were in desperate need of a getaway & we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! As we drove down the rose lined driveway that looks fit for royalty, we could already feel ourselves relax a bit! We stayed at one of the campsites, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens that seem to go on & on! Amidst the heat we were blessed to be able to camp beneath the trees & listen to the birds & bees! An oasis amidst the dry arid Karoo surroundings! The toilets are in excellent condition & the showers offer a wonderful & unique experience as they are outdoor showers – which we loved! There are glamping tents available as well as their camp sites. We used the Sanctuary Guest Farm as a base to go to Mountain Zebra National Park & we spent the hot summer afternoons beneath the trees at the Sanctuary Farm. The Sanctuary Guest Farm is a +/- 20 minute drive from the town of Cradock, the dirt road (+/- 9 mins) is fit for any normal car, just a bit bumpy, but so worth it! Sanctuary Guest Farm offers communal undercover braai area, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge, freezer & dining area. Erika, our host was friendly & accommodating! Our only regret is that we wish we had more time to spend there!

We booked one of the luxury tents for one night. Could have extended to several nights....it was just bliss. The Cloete family created some magic here. Friendly warm reception, providing us with whatever we needed. We strolled around the magnificent lawns and adored the flowers, the trees. We drank in the silence. The braaifire was intimate in the quiteness of the late afternoon. The bed comfy, the fan purring softly because it was a hot mid-February eve. Allround, just a place we HAVE to return too.....

Upon arrival we found a beautiful welcoming farm oasis. Accomodation and amenities is luxurious and a guest clearly feel the love that was put into the guest farm, through all the attention to detail that was put into everything. We had a great nights sleep and most amazing outside shower, everything was superb, we had a fantastic stay!

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights 5 days at Sanctuary Guest and Adventure Farm and it was the most amazing experience. Being our first time Glamping we truy enjoyed the experience. Very innovative and creative. It was a home away from home. We loved the idea of taking a shower outside ( felt very refreshing) . This place is definetly the type of place to go to when you want ot relax and just get away from everything for a bit. An amazing way to end the dreadful year of 2020 and such a peaceful and beautiful way to enter the healing year of 2021. ||||Wessel was amaxing. Never met him but was always just a phone call away. His parents, such lovely people who gave us our space. The garden is so lovely for one to have a picnic . ||||Would definetly reccommend this place and we certainly look forward to one day going back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sanctuary Guest and Adventure Farm. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable and neat. It has been a long time since we had family time together, the boys totally enjoyed the zip line and the dam, as well as fishing and mucking around. The beautiful garden is just so peaceful and tranquil. To just sit in the garden or walk around the farm was just what was needed. I will definitely return and recommend to anyone.
