Pretoria Honde & Katte Hotel

I honestly can’t recommend this kennel enough. Corney and her team have such a genuine love for animals, and it shows in everything they do. Murphy and Scotch were cared for with incredible patience, kindness, and attention, and I always felt complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Communication was thoughtful, the care was personal, and the dogs were treated like family. Thank you, Corney and team, for the love you show, it truly means more than words!

Dear Corney and team - thank you so much for taking such good care of my beloved Frikkie during the past December holiday. I will certainly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a safe, clean and loving environment for their fur babies! 🐶💙🐶

Ir was necessary to put my best friend in a boarding kennel for a couple of days. He has never been separated from my husband and myself in the 6 years of his life. Since we were going to a nature reserve it was impossible to take him with. I knew I had to place him in a facility where I would have peace of mind. I needed to know that someone would take care of him the way I do - a tall order I reckoned. That was until I spoke to Corney who invited me to visit Pretoria Dog and Cat hotel Boschkop before I made a decision. The moment I walked in I knew this was a place I could entrust with my fur baby. The warm welcome by Corney, hee hug of support , the clean kennels, the reassurance that my dog was their highest priority, was sufficient for me to go away for a couple of days and know my doggie was safe. There was much tail wagging when we returned , much jubilation. But he was in good spirits, despite my prior fears of leaving him in a boarding kennel. I highly recommend this boarding hotel.

I recently got my first puppy in a long time. Deciding where he can stay during the day was a huge decision. We went to numerous doggy day care facilities but none of them quite gave us the right feeling. When we got to Pretoria Honde en Katte Hotel, we showed up unannounced. The kennels and outside olay areas we super clean. From what I understand, the Hotel is now under new management, Corney. Doggies we saw were happy and wagging tails. Corney warmly greeted us and Nixon (puppy) loved her immediately. We drop him off in the mornings, some mornings Corney is so kind as to collect him from my work when I run late, even drop him off in the afternoons also when I work a bit late. He is happy when he is there, i receive videos of him playing outside, he loves Corney.

Pretoria Dog and Cat Hotel is the perfect place for when you going on holiday or even for different circumstances, from the dog walker to management they are all very considerate and convenient for making sure your dog's /cat's needs are sorted and properly taken care off. The new management has made sure that my dog can be accompanied even though he can be a difficult pet. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a temporary solution for housing their dog. 10/10

I'm not entirely sure what qualifies a facility as suitable for dogs, but I can say with complete certainty that this is not an appropriate place for cats—especially given that they lost mine. We arranged for my cat to stay from April 9th to April 17th and were assured that we would receive daily updates in the form of videos and/or photos. However, I received only one video on April 11th and no further communication until April 16th, when I was informed that there had been an accident and my cat had gotten out. After asking specifically when this happened, I was told she had escaped on April 14th- yet they waited two days to contact me. I can't comprehend why they chose not to contact me immediately, especially when every hour was critical in that situation. While I understand that accidents can happen, this situation was clearly the result of negligence. I deeply regret leaving my baby in their care. In addition to this, I found the facility to be unsuitable for cats in general. The cat kennels are positioned near dog enclosures, creating a loud and highly stressful environment for cats unaccustomed to dogs. My cat was terrified of them, and I can only imagine how distressing it must have been for her to be surrounded by constant barking. I didn't want to leave her there at all since I had a bad feeling about it the moment we handed her over, but due to time constraints and limited alternatives, we had no other option. I do not recommend this facility to any cat owners. It's now been over a week since my cat went missing and we still haven't found her.

Best place to leave your pets! Recently under new management. Very neat and clean. Very organised! I would recommend them any time and always!
