Dear Builders Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the Goldair 4 Plate Gas Stove I purchased from your store. The stove has stopped working in less than three months of use, despite being sold with a valid warranty. I have approached your store for assistance, but instead of resolving the matter, I have been sent from pillar to post without any meaningful support. I'm extremely disappointed with your service. I brought the stove on the 20th and was advised that the suppliers will come inspect the cause in my house was advised to take back the stove .l waited 2 weeks only yesterday l was asked to send the pictures of the stove then to be told today that its not covered. I take it the people that saw the stove should have known already. I feel l have been taken for a ride .This is unacceptable, as the product is clearly defective and still under warranty. As per the Consumer Protection Act, I am entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for faulty goods within the warranty period. I therefore demand that Builders honor the warranty and provide a replacement stove or a full refund without further delay. Please treat this matter with urgency. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution within 7 working days, I will escalate the issue to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud and other relevant authorities. I look forward to your prompt response. 03/02/2026 it's 3 weeks now nobody from builders bothered to call extremely disappointed with your service

This is a warehouse type of store that sells home, outdoor and nursery goods. They also have a wood section that sells and cuts wood to your specifications. The store has a wide variety of items available which sometimes makes it difficult to find a specific items that you may need. You will not find any staff on the floor to help. There’s no help do you may walk from aisle to aisle looking for your items. Nobody comes to assist you at all. If you do happen to find a staff member and ask for assistance, they just tell you to go to a certain aisle and that’s that… the items may still not be what you are looking for and once again you are left there standing alone. I do however see a few of them standing in a group loudly having a conversation and it feels as if you are disturbing them when you ask for help so they say just go to aisle whatever!! On a rare occasion, you will find a staff member who actually does their job and assists you. This is not uncommon in any he builders warehouse stores as we have experienced the lack of assistance at other stores as well. It’s no wonder that these South African stores close down due to lack of revenue while other international stores thrive instead!! Do better Builder’s Warehouse staff and learn some customer services.

Even PPE for you and/or for you employee. If Garden is where you want to find true love (one with nature) we got you. Good quality and affordable price.

Great store indeed, you get affordable products for building and renovations and it has diverse products that suits your needs, cashiers are kind and very helpful 💥🤩😘

This Builders has most things you need. It’s a pity that while some staff are very friendly, others are extremely rude—especially toward older customers. The staff member at the back till is consistently rude, and the checkout security is also very unfriendly to elderly people.

What a useless branch! I paid for counter tops and arranged for them to be collected a few days later. When I arrived to collect them, was told 'eish' they had sold them to someone else the day before and don't have stock. It's My problem !!!! They told me. They will call me the next day ,for collection - 4 days later, still waiting for their call! Contacted Headoffice out of shere desperation, was sent from pillar to post with no resolve! Took my slip to Alberton branch, they assisted immediately, with a branch transfer. Kudus to Alberton branch. Will never put my foot in Edenvale branch again! Will advise all my family and colleagues to do the same. Awful branch! Headoffice should investigate after sale service and hold Edenvale branch, accountable. Absolutely shocking!

The best builders I've been too to date. This review is based on a single visit, so I do hope my experience is consistent. Builders Warehouse Edenvale is absolutely gigantic, just like many of the rest. What sets this branch apart from all others, is one simple thing...: pricing. Stock is priced and labeled wherever you go, their pots and potting soils section is so far better labeled and priced that it puts other branches (Robindale, Midrand) to shame. For men and some woman, we can get lost in here for hours looking at tools, hardware, paints, showers (beautifully displayed), gardening and much more. I like the Vida e Café idea too, so one can grab a coffee or healthy breakfast too, as opposed to a snack near the counter, that may not fill the gap. On a critical note though, I will be honest, the store was not perfectly clean, with lots of "in progress" swept dust and papers on the floor at various departments, but this does not deter me from appreciating the friendly cashiers, staff, security and so on. Well done guys, keep up the excellent merchandising.
