Overseas Moving Scene

I was living in Mexico and had about 4 cubes of personal stuff that I needed shipped to South Africa in an LCL. I reached out to a few moving companies and Kevin at Overseas Moving Scene came in with the most affordable quote. I was very hesitant at first due to some of the bad reviews on their website but I always take those with a grain of salt. I can honestly say that they met all my expectations and the service was excellent. Kevin was very professional and kept a clear communication at all time. My stuff arrived in South Africa at my front door just as we packed and wrapped it up in Mexico, untouched and undamaged. I shipped multiple fragile items like guitars, Piano and surfboards that I packed and wrapped myself and they all arrived undamaged. Please keep in mind that when you ship something via cargo ship expect it to take at least 3 months. The ship does not go straight to your destination and does multiple stops all around the world. I knew this going in and I expected to wait long. What I did not expect was the excellent service and condition of everything when it arrived. To know that my shipment was in multiple ports and transferred to multiple ships around the world and made it all the way to my front door was amazing. I am truly grateful for the excellent service and professionalism of Kevin and his team there at Overseas Moving Scene. I would highly recommend them for any logistical needs.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Shocking. I contacted OMS in March 2024 for a move to Canada. They promise delivery in 12-16 weeks. Yes, a shared container, so no guarentees, but it took 19 months!! No apology or sympathy. No concern shown. When they came to pack my goods, one of the workers had to be sent home because I realised he was drunk. You'd think the guy in charge would have noticed. In September I was getting irate as my goods were still in SA, and in November Kevin Leske told me they were loaded on a boat in Durban and about to leave SA. But it wasn't true. Kevin lied to me. I kept asking Kevin to escalate and finally he did - to Frans Fouche, who never bothered to respond. Kevin also said I could email the info email as it goes to head office, but no one has ever answered me from that email. I kept pushing and my goods finally left SA in March 2025, a full year after they had been packed up. They only arrived in Canada in October and within a day or two I contacted Kevin again to say my carpet was damaged (probably from sitting poor conditions for so long) and my silver car collection was missing (probably the drunk worker or during storage when workers had gone into my luggage to retrieve some papers for me). I sent pictures. Kevin, as usual, took a long time to respond and then told me it was past the 7 days to put a claim in to the insurance, but he would look into it. I am still waiting. He promised to put a claim in on my behalf, but doesn't answer emails any longer. I repeatedly asked him to escalate and finally on January 14th he gave me Duncan Schulze (ExecuMove) email. Duncan said he'd get back to me in 2 days and I am still waiting. No contact. He does not answer my emails. I have emailed both OMS and ExecuMove's info lines and they don't respond. I have never had such shoddy service from people who clearly care nothing for their clients. Don't touch them

Packing our house to move to Ireland was a breeze made possible by Prince and his team. Unfortunately he does not manage or run the company. Thereafter it was sketchy at best. My motorcycle papers were "forgotten in a plastic bag" and never accompanied our container. Found this out after numerous emails, messages and phone calls to Kevin. After promises to send it more than a week ago. He's not answering his phone after another promise of "they will make it a priority". Unprofessional to the extreme. I am now sitting with a motorcycle of which I have handed over the original documents into his hands. Dissatisfied, disappointing. I will be taking it up the chain of command, but he is the so-called regional manager. A joke really

Used this company to move from Velddrif to Lady Grey. Their quote was the best of the three companies that I received quoted from. From the start the experience was very professional and efficient. Marieta was my contact and was very responsive to my queries and requests. The team that did my move were efficient and friendly. My goods arrived well packed and intact. I highly recommend this company.

The manager Kevin is such a rude unfriendly person and very unhelpful and unapologetic. They send some of my personal belongings to PE without my consent or knowing, as their basic paper work is a few scribles on some scrap sticky notes so the nr got mixed up and my things went to PE after i drove 5 hours from Oudtshoorn to collect my stuff willl never recommended them, the staff on the other hand is friendly and helpful

Good Afternoon I recently used Overseas Moving Scene Cape Town to do my move to the the UK, As you are all aware times are tough with Covid 19, but from my first contact with the office they were great and put myself and my wife at ease. On the move day they arrived on time and the crew were great, very friendly , polite and nothing was to much effect for them.
