Springfield Estate

Springfield Wine Estate is without a doubt a must visit if you're around. Lana and her team is so lovely and helpful, the wine tasting allows you to choose your preferred wines, with some delicious olives included. With such a unique view and quiet vibe, you shouldn't miss this place! We planned on coming back again but we unfortunately couldn't make it, luckily we bought some bottles for at home to enjoy Springfield Estate again a little. Thank you team. We come back next year!

Springfield Wine Estate is a true gem, less than 10 minutes from Robertson. The setting is serene and understated, allowing the focus to remain where it belongs: on exceptional wines and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down. The Garuzzis Cap Classique is fresh, crisp, and effortlessly enjoyable—made even better by the breathtaking views and a calmness words can’t quite describe. Sitting by the pond, watching the ducks and fish go about their day, it’s easy to lose track of time and the outside world entirely. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, adding to the relaxed experience. The estate olives are the perfect snack while tasting their world-class wines. The white wines are lively, fresh, and mineral-driven, clearly reflecting Springfield’s unique terroir. Springfield also produces excellent red wines, which I didn’t taste on this visit, but know and love—especially enjoyed with a lekker braai or as a comforting winter companion. On a hot summer’s day, there are few better places to be.

Nothing beats a chilled, crisp Sauvignon Blanc - Life from Stone - on a hot summer's day. Springfield's is hard to beat. Carp and koi lazily fin around in the dam adjacent to the deck while dragonflies flit amon the lotus blossoms and Lily pads. The bird life is an added bonus. Plenty of shade and a welcome misting system ensures everyone stays cool. Complimentary bowl of olives was ideal with the Miss Lucy white blend and the Albarino, a grape which is still uncommon in South Africa but with its zesty, vibrant acidity, it's so suited to the conditions. Thoroughly recommended.

The best experience for the whole family . We had the most beautiful,kindest waitress who helped us. What a beautiful place .it's calm and relaxing . 10/10 with great service and the best wines.

The best wine!! Truly remarkable - the Burgundy style Méthode Ancienne – Chardonnay is my favourite wine. The setting is a true oasis next to the water and the service is warm and friendly. I will be back.

The estate accommodated us for a wine cellar tour, and it was the best part of the whole day. They have wonderful wine and we bought a few bottles to take home. Wine tasting can be enjoyed on the grass with deck chairs. Tastings are generous. Their Life from stone is the most famous wine. The same family run the estate for generations.
