Pretty Gardens Nursery

Pretty Gardens is an absolute gem in Bloemfontein! The garden centre is beautifully maintained, with helpful, knowledgeable staff who make every visit a pleasure. You’ll find everything from a charming pet store to a quaint little bookshop that’s perfect for browsing on a slow afternoon. Oh and don’t miss the gorgeous shoe store — the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever own! Families will love the phenomenal play area for kids, they can have a real adventure with the variety of jungle gym and play equipment. The on-site restaurants are nice spots to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. A truly delightful destination for all ages!

I have been looking for a Strelitzia aka Crane bird Flower, for awhile now and eventually I found 1 at Pretty Gardens. At a reasonable price,walked out there with a lot more than just that.

I don't know about the nursery side but the restaurant is a treat. We had the pepper sauce burger and the dagwood. It was delicious and the portions are generous. We enjoy the outdoor dining area.

Lovely and beautiful. Find your favorite flowers, seeds, plant pots, fertilizers, pets from puppies to crawling creepy stuff 😳 😍 😆 😅...fish to birds 🐦...I'm a lover of flowers 💐 myself. There's restaurants here and a bar shop, gift shop, gymnasium and a park for children...it's quite beautiful.

I’ve always been a loyal supporter but my recent visit was sorely disappointing. The average price of a packet of seeds is R37. Pretty Gardens charges R49.50 for the exact same packet. Seedlings are R49 - also more than the average price of R40 in Bloemfontein. A 30dm bag of potting soil is R78 - almost double the average price. As an avid gardener, this feels like daylight robbery! I was there during a quiet time in the week and not one staff member offered to assist me. If you are looking for plants or garden accessories in Bloem, Pretty Gardens would be the last place I would recommend. Especially if you’re on a budget.
