I chose this place because of all the 5-star reviews, thinking my dog would be in good hands. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I saw my dog after work at home, I was honestly shocked. He looks like he’s been through a warzone. There are visible brush marks and uneven patches on his behind, and his front leg has been cut so badly that there is barely any hair left on the back of it. This does not look like professional grooming — it looks rushed and careless. I paid for a proper trim, not for my dog to come home looking like this. He may just be another booking to you, but he is family to me. Seeing him like that was upsetting. Very unprofessional service. I expected far more care, skill, and attention than what was delivered.

Love chatting to the ladies there. They truly love all dogs & i can always count them to find a spot for my dog. + They give awesome advice.

Awesome shop but gave it three stars as their prices are quite high as compared to other places.

I will not recommend this place. The black haired lady is extremely rude. When I made the booking a white haired old lady tells me they do trims on cats. Now I come and different woman tells me it's impossible to trim a cat. Next thing they are so extremely rough with my cat. Never before has someone handled my cat this badly with rough brushing so damn hard rough handling. She is extremely meek and quite cat never let's her discomfort be known since she is a ragdoll. But when I got her back after watching them handle her there was tears in her eyes thus how much hurt she must have felt. If you have a soft hearted pet never come to this place. I'm disappointed for Picking this place.

STAY FAR AWAY. I am absolutely MORTIFIED at this moment. I took my two Frenchies in for grooming, and explicitly said NOT to cut the hair of my fluffy Frenchie. On collecting my fur kids, I saw that they had cut his hair!!! They removed all of his beautiful locks from his backside leg area. UNACCEPTABLE!! I called and gave Minnie a piece of my mind, but the damage is done!!

Will never support this grooming parlour again. I never recieved such rudeness from the one assistant and manager. They refused me a grooming on a puppy yorkie. I was well aware of an appointment. But this lady that helped me told the puppy must be year older before they groom. And on a puppy they only bath. How is this acceptable. Well they lost me as a client

Will NEVER EVER support City Pets Shewood Gardens ever again! The old lady (I assume she's the owner) doesn't know who to talk to customers. She made a mistake not listening when I wanted the booking to be made. Another lady phoned me at 10:27 asking me on a Saturday I'm I still bringing me dogs in at 09:00 that morning!!!! AN HOUR AND HALF LATE. I explained I made the booking for Sunday and I'll be there Sunday. The old lady picked up the phone, shouted at me, and then dropped the call. I phoned back to tell her she is very rude and definitely not the way she should treat loyal customers, as soon as she answered the phone she screamed YES CARRY ON!!!! She should retire!!!!
