Absolutely love the great service received from the staff at Aquatic Pet City, a hidden gem in Flamingo Square, Tableview. These guys provided me with such good advice and products to care for my 12 year old gold fish. Super impressed with the modern day black gravel that added to the stunning aesthetic of my new fish tank,🌟 also the understated beauty of the flora that added a perfect touch. Thank you guys for your excellent service!
Amazing service and the owners are so accommodating. I was looking for a very specific fish for my son and they made his dreams come true! Their love and passion not only for people but their community shines!! Thank you Mandy and Chris, you're my new underwater family.
We came specially today, on a Sunday, with our 5-year-old daughter to buy a fish. We arrived at 12:47 and told the staff we wanted to buy a fish. We were rudely told that the lights in the fish tanks were turned off at exactly 12:45. We kindly asked them to switch the lights back on so our daughter could choose a fish. They refused and spoke to us with complete disregard, saying the lights are off and there’s nothing they can do. We ended up choosing a fish in the dark using a flashlight from our phone. Nobody offered to help or even came to us. The staff were completely indifferent. The girl at the till didn’t even say a word. We left with a horrible, upsetting feeling — our daughter was confused and disappointed by the lack of respect. Teach your staff how to communicate with customers! Go and learn what basic customer service means! No one expects Gucci-level service, but greeting people politely and trying to help is the bare minimum. Terrible store, terrible experience. Completely ruined our day.
Please do better… Please educate ALL your staff properly so they can properly educate and assist clients when purchasing pets (often for their children). You are not selling toys… you are selling live animals. Please inform your staff that it is not okay to sell a dying fish to a client, using the excuse that it’s just stressed. Getting home to finding the fish dead… and then later learning that the fish should not have been sold in the first place as they had just come in. No heart there! Please know that having the Shop Manager argue and fuss with the other employees while assisting clients is unprofessional. Also kindness goes a long way… no need to be so rude.
Amazing Staff. They have quarantine tanks. I asked them to keep some fish out for me. 2 days later I came in and both went dead that same morning. Edit:Respectfully. I meant that they died at the petshop in the morning before i could get them. They looked fine 2 days ago. However i do understand that alot of petshops have been getting internal parisites from other breeders. If that were the case Edit 2:Tons of plants and rest of the fish looked super healthy(insanely cheap prices too. Petworld charges about R300 for their bettas EVERY SINGLE TIME. While these are abt 80zar and better quality. I think that i just encountered a rough time in the betta breeding system.
The place is unfortunately hidden diagonally opposite the front of Flamingo center off Blaauwberg Road, but it is a pleasure to visit, open and close, jn and out, is what comes to mind. The knowledgeable staff is worthy of the highest praise. The shop assistant, has an extensive experience with his subject matter, I have always found him to be patient, and a delight to engage. To him I say PHAMBILI, to the management and owners you have a long community life ahead of you.
Lovely pet store that offers a variety for fish and exotic pets. Staff are friendly and helpful. They're not overpriced. I go there for my rabbit pellets and hay, and my fish tank supplies.
