I bought the Shongololo dog collar from Chommies at the Oranjezicht City Farm Market in Cape Town. Delight assisted me and explained why the collar is a bit more expensive - it is incredibly durable, locally handcrafted, high-quality and of course absolutely stunning (not like anything else I've ever seen in pet stores). The small details such as the bag in which the collar came and the beautiful business card made me excited. When I arrived back in Pretoria, the collar was unfortunately a bit too big. Debbey was so kind and helped me to exchange it for a smaller size. Now, our beautiful Poodle, Thuli-Belle, has never looked better. I will definitely be saving my money for the matching leash. Money well spent!

The team are genuinely lovely and so helpful! We’ve absolutely loved my pup’s collar — the craftsmanship is beautiful. Unfortunately, the hardware (brass, I assume) has stained his chest fur, which is a bit disappointing, especially at this price point.

The patio area is especially charming, offering a peaceful spot to relax and take it all in. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed and even offered tea and coffee, which made the experience feel extra special. The products are truly exceptional. Each item is crafted with care and attention to detail, and the quality is immediately clear. Everything feels both practical and beautifully made. One of the shop owners helped us choose a collar and a hands free leash, and he was an absolute delight to talk to. He was kind, incredibly helpful, and clearly passionate about the store. His knowledge and pride in the products made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We also loved how pet friendly the store was. We got to say hello to so many adorable pooches, which added such a joyful and welcoming energy to the visit.
