Reptile Garden - Stodels Nursery

Had a fabulous time. The enclosures are clean and the reptiles look well cared for. The staff are friendly and they are such a good vibe...from the gentlemen that greeted us on arrival to the young lady who helped me handle the snake 🥰❤️ we had such an interesting time and this is highly recommended for curious kids.

My boyfriend and I love it! The variety of snakes is amazing and each snake enclosure is clean and the residents seem very happy! It’s educational and very stunning. I highly recommend going here

Stodels is honestly one of the best nurseries in the Durbanville area. The layout is stunning and makes it a pleasure to walk around and browse. The staff offer excellent customer service – they are friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about plants and trees. They took the time to understand what I needed and suggested several great options that suited my garden and budget. On top of that, there’s a cosy little restaurant on-site that serves delicious lunches at very reasonable prices, which makes a visit even more enjoyable. A fantastic spot for both gardening and a relaxed meal!

Love this place. I took my daughter there during the school holidays. They have a range of snakes, spiders, iguanas, from around the world. Argh, just go for yourselves and check out this place. You'd love it.

Went there on the afternoon of 16 June 2024. Called and they closed at 5pm, we arrived just after 2pm. Entry fee is R50pp (kids under 3 enter for free and pensioners get a discount - I forgot to take a picture of the entrance). They do accept card machine. To get to the reptile garden you enter Stodels walk through to the back where the Cafe is and turn right toward to the end and that is where the Reptile Garden is located. Lots of snakes, a few iguanas, tortoises and even got to see a snake feeding. It's not that big so the space is a bit confined but you're still able to enjoy the walk through. The best part was when we were informed that we can hold a snake for only R50. It took some convincing for us to even consider it but it was totally worth it. I think it was a yellow Bilbao that we got to hold. It was fun but nerve wrecking at first. A definite must to bring the kids to see, especially during the weekend or school holidays. There is also a tiny shop before you exit where you can purchase gifts.

Absolutely amazing experience! Beautiful reptiles on display and even got to hold one of the lizards in the first image! Definitely worth the R50 entry fee!!!!
