Mega Pets

I've been a customer of Mega Pets for a long time, and I'm happy to see that they still carry the Montego range. I can always find the specific Montego dog food that my son's Jack Russell needs, as well as the Montego treats that both he and my own dog, Rambo, absolutely love! The prices for these products are consistently reasonable and competitive, which is a huge plus. This shop has changed hands and there are certainly some new features! The new owners have brought in a more diverse selection of animals (rabbits, rats, snakes, tarantulas, etc.) and the most gorgeous Stick Insects! There are also adorable Skinny Pigs (hairless guinea pigs). The lady owner, Celeste also brings a lovely touch by hand-rearing small parrots (cockatiels, lovebirds, etc.), which shows a genuine care for these animals. Crucially, they still stock the Montego dog food and treats my dogs (and my son's dog) rely on, as well as the Tropical parrot blend our African Congo Grey loves, as well as lots of treats and toys for all pets, cages, etc, and their prices are excellent. The owners there are very friendly and helpful—always a pleasure to deal with. 🙏🤗💖

The owner is very kind and accommodating and their pet food toys and treats are well priced. In my first visit I was in crutches and visibly uncomfortable with the heat as I was shopping for my pets, they even offered me a seat and brought over a fan for me which was really kind of them. The Animals are treated really well which is all I ask in a establishment with animals to be honest. Thank you for the Mega Pets staff that have been so amazing.

Mega Pets has a nice variety of pets, and supplies at reasonable prices. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I enjoy a weekly visit just to chat at stock up.

Neat pet store limited selection, prices pretty high e.g. stock standard puppy @R50 each

I walked in the store really excited to buy a new pet, but I was greeted buy someone who doesn't work there and to every question I had the person referred to his mother would know. After asking repeatedly for assistance I still was met with no one to assist. Not very happy with the team at mega Pets Margate. Walked out since there was no assistance for me.

Owners very friendly and always helpful ! Ready with advice if you need. Shop clean and neat. The stock is always fresh and reasonably priced. A pleasure to go shopping here !

New ownership. Great fish. And, thank you for taking care of my new boys while I got their new homes ready.
