Montagu Village Market

Wandering through this charming little market takes me back to country villages in Europe. This is my second time to visit and yet somehow I still found some new things to enjoy. The products like those of Dandelion (rugs) and Moo 62 (small batch handcrafted yoghurt) are of high quality without breaking the bank. The elderly gentleman playing music, water bowls for dogs, benches under shady trees make this village market more than just another consumer hotspot.

It opens on Saturday mornings and it's more of a craft exhibition than a market. Many different people show off their skills and you can treat yourself to some really unque peices. It's not too big, the variety is decent and beyond buying things, people are happy to answer questions and offer advice. There's a toilet on site and it's located under trees which cools you down when it gets hot (and it does). It's a bit difficult for wheelchair users to navigate and it closes a bit too early for tourists.

It is a friendly market of village locals offering handmade arts and crafts, books and thrift items and quality food and beverages. It's a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning

Love this eclectic market, with an array of goods. We lived shopping for honey, pestos, jewelery and clothes - offers something for everyone.

It's a small but cute market. A bit of everything. Jewelry, art, clothing and crafts, fresh produce,preserves, and food stalls. When in Montagu on a Saturday pop in. Trading hours are from 8h30 to 12h30

A small market but plenty of locally made produce such as jams, trinkets, food, preserves & clothing. Try to visit on a day that isn't wet & rainy as this will limit the number of traders on the day.

Oh wow !! What a lovely country experience. We just walked around and looked at the beautiful stalls. Bought some things and had the most delicious samoosas. Everyone was super friendly. I can't wait to go back.
