Checkers Springs Mall

I was by the mall this moring told them it's on special, they had the audacity to fight with me and tell me the white peach one is not on special thats why it didn't scan. I want my R14 difference back, and i want that incompetent staff to have a warning

My reason for this rating is because I visited Checkers at about 4:30pm after work, maybe the staff were tired and ready to pack up not sure but I first got to the Food section where the cooked food is to get something to eat and there was just nobody to serve me for about 5 minutes I was standing there and eventually asked another worker to please call someone, this is not the first time this happened. Then I went to the butchery side to get biltong and there was nobody to help, I stood there for about 10 minutes asked about 3 people to call someone and waited. eventually someone pitched up. I do not think it is good service at all. I understand maybe waiting few minutes but not good if there is just nobody to help and no one in site.

I was there on the 21 July 2025 the gentleman who was working at the fried fish section was very polite. Im sorry I didn't get your name I would have loved to mention it here. Also the lady at the till and the packer were friendly. Keep it up!!! The only downfall was my fellow shoppers who kept the purified water place dirty. Please people treat a public place like it's your own place. Thankfully a cleaner came and wipe down the floor before any one could fall. This is a service that some of us appreciate very much please don't ruin it for us.

Food is always fresh. Great service from the staff, you are welcomed with warm smiles and people who are so helpful and kind.

At the Kiosk, Netflix vouchers are on display but staff says they were told to stop sell it. It is absolutely amazing to waste your time in the que.

This is a good Checkers, usually well stocked (beware of trying to buy a chicken after a long weekend, though) and well priced. There are definitely things that they never stock (Chipolata Sausages, Fish Oil, Sesame oil and for some reason lemon oil pledge clean it); and to get Rotti there is rare. They also changed ownership recently which resulted in a complete reshuffle of everything in the store with no end of frustration to both clients and staff, neither of whom could find anything. It will resolve in time when we've all found everything again.

Bought pork from them on 21/06 it looked fine and everything but when I threw it in with my veggies I sadly only then realized it was full of worms. A whole pot full of veggies went to waste!!! It's truly disgusting...
