6.6

Game Vredenburg, located within the Vredenburg mall, offers a broad selection of goods, spanning from electronics and appliances to hardware and household items. While the range is impressive, delivery logistics can present challenges for customers in complexes with stairs, as demonstrated by some experiences. The store aims to be a comprehensive retail destination.

Despite some concerns regarding delivery procedures, individual staff members are consistently highlighted for their exceptional service and willingness to assist. The positive interactions with particular employees, like Johan Dippenaar, demonstrate a commitment to customer care and create a more welcoming shopping environment.

Game in the mall seemed a bit dejected and empty – even on a Saturday when you would expect that it would be filled with people looking for non-food items and bargains. Alas, there were few bargains to be found and pricing seemed on the high side, though perhaps that was just a first impression. There is a wide variety of items such as TVs, phones, household appliances and hardware. Staff friendliness gets this branch an extra star and the helpfulness was much appreciated. It would be cool if Game had staff who did demonstrations in multiple departments – customers might appreciate seeing the equipment and how it works.

Game Vredenburg seriously a huge competition, no customer service at all is at ZERO!! We bought 19k fridge on Monday and they failed to do delivery as we are staying in a complex that have stairs and they said their rules doesn’t allow them to take stairs and they returned with the fridge and informed us to come take our refund. This is pathetic service ever !! We need Makro and other outlets in Vredenburg and stop doing business at game clearly they don’t know how to treat customers. People with house that has stairs stair away from Game Vredenburg!! Because they won’t deliver your appliances!!

I would like to say a big thank you to Johan Pampoen Dippenaar for his wonderful service. His friendliness, the extra mile he goes for his clients… during his working hours as well as his time off. Always satisfied with his amazing way of sorting everything out. You are a very good salesperson, and Game can be proud to have someone like you. A big applause for your amazing service

No service nobody interested in walking the floor except security looking for thieves . I asked the security if their are any staff members maybe it's easier finding a thief than finding staff. Anyway that's the norm with Game mega shops nowdays if you dont like it take a hike! R1600 later thanks for coming and thanks for going. That's actually a panoramic picture I'm not sure if it will load correctly but shows no staff for 360 degrees

I have had a terrible experience with this particular branch as I went there to purchase a cot for my baby and received hardly any assistance. Apon arrival we had to find a sales assistant to who then had to find someone that has knowledge of the items in the baby section. The cot did not have a bar code nor a price tag. An assistant was called on the intercom on two separate occasions and no one came. We then needed to carry the entire cot to the customer service desk where we still had to wait for assistance. Jerome then appeared knowing nothing about the product and we then needed to wait for him to figure it out. We were told there is no stock for this particular model and the cot was taken back to the isle. Jerome then appears again to now tell us I will go and check if they have it in stocks somewhere in a back room. Needles to say my child still does not have a cot and I will never set foot in this Game again. Please ensure that your staff is informed about the below because none of them knew what we were talking about when we disputed the fact that no price was displayed for cot. In West Coast Peninsula, under the Consumer Protection Act, a retailer must display the price of any goods or services for sale. If a retailer displays a product without a price, the consumer can request to purchase the item at the lowest displayed price of a similar item, or at a price to be determined later. Here's a more detailed explanation: Price Disclosure: Retailers are required to display the price of goods and services in full view of consumers. This ensures transparency and prevents hidden costs. No Unpriced Items: A retailer cannot display goods for sale without displaying a price. Lower Price Takes Priority: If two prices are displayed, the consumer can demand to pay the lower price. Honoring Displayed Prices: If a retailer displays a price and a consumer acts on that price, the retailer is generally bound by that price, even if there's an error. Exceptions for Obvious Errors: There are exceptions for obvious errors, such as a car being advertised for R10 instead of R100,000. In such cases, the retailer may not be bound to honor the incorrect price.

Very bad customer service… bought a fridge and chest freezer on 19 Dec, promised me delivery on 24… after waiting the whole morning I called (another endless mess…eventually got through to the right department after 5 attempts) just to be told the fridge was not delivered from their warehouse. But was assured to be notified before the end of the day (Sat, 24 dec). Obviously that didn’t happen… phoned again today… Monday, 26 Dec… To be told by Wednesday or Thursday… I’m leaving SA on Thursday… now, quite curious to see how long I’ll have to wait for my money to be refunded… ridiculous!!!!
