The Wilds - East Wilds

I googled The Wilds before going and it was said to be wheelchair friendly...its not. Just by going towards the trail, there is cobble stones. I got further because I was assisted. I am yet to find a hiking trail that's wheelchair friendly. They little I saw it was beautiful and i enjoyed the view.

What a hidden gem. Entrance is free, beautiful paths. Lovely areas to sit and soak up the sun. The security lady was probably one of the friendliest people I have ever met. it's worth a visit. Wear good shoes some uphills are steep.

Clean, beautiful trails, stunning views , pretty mosaic, lovely picnic spots. Lovely family outing. Security do search all bags going in, you can pack your own picnic bag.

A little wilderness within the urban jungle. The park was clean, well maintained with good signage. Interesting and fun for all ages but wear walking shoes. The kids loved it although they found the bridge a little daunting. Will definitely go again but next time with snacks. The frogs in the pond were a highlight.

Gardens are well kept and are very clean. Really such a nice place to just get away enjoy nature for a little while within the city.

A hidden jewel of Johannesburg! So well looked after, clean, and so incredibly pretty! Well looked after paved paths-though they are paved with rocks, so proper walking shoes are advised. A safe and secure (all be it, rather small) car park with security.

The Wilds is well kept. Some routes are easy, there are loads of steps to climb, so not easy on the knees. A beautiful greem belt in the mist of a city.
