Squirrel's Nest Lodge

Pleasant stay in a cottage built on stilts in the trees. Everything and more is in the cottage. It is close to the big tree and only about 7 km outside Knysna. Quite.

My kids love going there. You can spend the whole day there. They play the whole time. The food is average. Service is not up to standard though. Staff could do with a little training in customer service. It would be perfect. |The perfect place for a birthday party. Would strongly recommend it. Just focus on the service. And the kiddies platter. Not at all worth the price.

Rooms very basic. All we needed realy for one night. Aicoronditionar worked well. Got 1gig free WiFi access.

This is the best place for the whole family!

Stayed overnight in a family room. Staff friendly and helpful on check in at 8pm at night. Aircon was not working in one room and maintenance wasn't able to fix it so kids were very hot and uncomfortable during the night. Beds comfortable but the place was not entirely clean and a bit run down. Not worth what we paid considering other places we have stayed at for less.

Not very happy as the waiter booked meals on my room number. Our company has got a 3 months contract coming up. I am positive that I don't want to go back there unless they fire that waiter for his mistake. In my career should I make a small mistake, this will lead to an instant dismissal. I took photos of the room just before I left

The place certainly went a bit down hill. But none the less, kids enjoy it a lot. There's a relaxed, calm atmosphere. Tables with shade near the kids playing. I don't think the sand for the play area gets treated/cleaned.Always concerned about that.
