Vitalvet - Animal Medical Centre

A massive thank you to Dr Rene, who helped me out when my Xena had a stroke at night. She was empathetic, nurturing, and managed to calm my frazzled nerves. The staff at Vital Vet are incredible and their love for animals is obvious. I had peace knowing Xena was getting the best care, and I got daily updates with a photo. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We are incredibly grateful to the emergency vet team who helped us say goodbye to our fur baby. Their kindness, compassion, and professionalism during such a heartbreaking time meant more to us than we can put into words.

The staff are Very friendly, extremely helpful and the doctors are caring and make you feel comfortable. My two dogs love going to see Dr Strauss, gives the best advise and we always feel 100% assured that our dogs are in good hands. Thank you and appreciate the excellent service. Kind regards Jason and Jeaneen van Heerden

A five-star establishment with five-star service and super friendly staff. No judgement. They only make you feel welcome and only the best care was taken with my Kasper boy. I really recommend Vital Vet in George. They make you feel welcome and you know your pet is in the very best hands. They also have a HUGE variety of pet food, treats, beds, accessories and much, much more. Thank you Dr. Conrad and the Vital Vet team. You guys are amazing!

I imported a Dalmatian Puppy named Jazz from the USA in March 2023. When he arrived I took him to Vital Vet for a standard veterinary checkup. Unfortunately they determined he had a significant heart murmur. Dr Helen was assigned to his case. She arranged for a visiting professor from Pretoria to examine Jazz and he also performed an ultrasound on two occasions. He and Dr Helen developed a treatment plan with beta blockers. Two years later Jazz’s heart murmur has almost disappeared - he is in excellent health and has tons of energy. A couple of weeks ago Dr Helen cleared jazz for surgery to be neutered. She carefully explained the risks and proactively developed special protocols for the surgery to minimize potential risks. Jazz came through the surgery with flying colours and a week later is doing extremely well!! I can’t recommend Dr Helen and her team more highly!!

Best vet in town. Excellent service. Very compassionate. Will recommend it every time. Thanks for making us feel better when we are sick. Love Bella and Weetbix❤

The VitalVet staff is always caring and passionate about their job. They always give their honest opinion and help you to find the best solution. Dr. Suzi is amazing and she really guided us with Chase's cancer.
