Ntombi (LG Dept) is an absolute super star! While all other kitchen appliances staff stood around ignoring us chatting and laughing amongst themselves, she jumped in to help us with the purchase of a fridge. She was friendly, helpful and professional! And making use of Bjorn (outsourced) as the delivery company, was a great decision. He is exceptional at customer service. Luckily there are a few "diamonds" to represent Makro PE.

Makro' s prices are the best and the variety of products on offer is great. As pensioners we enjoy the 10% discount, which is market-leading. Thank you Makro. Problem is however their service. A person battle to get anybody to assist. There are forever umpteenth staff wondering around seemingly doing nothing and if you ask for help from anybody, they always pass you on to the next. Today I shopped for an automatic poolcleaner and needed advice on the Kreepy Krauly brand. The person named Sam who works in that dept are there, at work, I am told, but nowhere to be found. 2 Other guys tried to help, 10 out of 10 to them for trying, but they knew nil about pool cleaners and just woffled. The one called Sam and I asked to talk to them and he (Sam) refused. Apparently he was driving. Lol. Pity. If I managed Makro I will increase profitaility by 10%, easy, by just attending to customers needs with more passion. They preach it, but dont do it. If their Managment read this, they will most probably laugh me out, but, I will be the last to laugh when they close shop, such as so many businesses do. And, then they blame the economy. Lol.

Place is trash, everything your search online is never in store in real life when you want check it out in person before buying something and making sure you don't get scammed with bottom of the barrel trash products. Tired of this "everything is ordered online rubbish". 3/10 would recommend.

Extremely disappointing experience. if i could id give 0 stars. The fan I purchased was not as advertised on Makro’s website. The listing showed a two-pack with specific blade and wattage details, but the product delivered was a different brand entirely, with damaged parts, incorrect wattage, and a manual that doesn’t even match the fan. Important components mentioned in the instructions were missing, and the packaging looked as if random parts were put together just to work. To make matters worse, when I contacted customer service to request a return or exchange, the consultant laughed and implied it was my fault for ordering online. This reflects poor quality control, misleading advertising, and unacceptable customer service. I expected far better from a company of this size.

Kak service. They put stuff on special (Wheelbarrow spade and fork R799) when you ask for the special no one knows. Waited for an hour and no one could help. Asked for store manager, not available he's gone out asked for assistant manager she's on lunch, not even can we take your details and they will get back to you. Absolutely pathetic service.

My husband and I went to makro today ( Friday the 9th 2026) we bought two items and one of them was a air fryer and the lady who helped us was Yonelwa Dolonga-Homemark and she was extremely incredible with her product knowledge, I'd love to see her flourish in the company, she gave an amazing service and pretty amazing to meet such a good soul.
