My sole veterinary choice for the last five years has been PDSA (The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals), primarily due to their affordability, the welcoming environment, and their staff's demonstrable love for animals. I particularly appreciate their commitment to pet welfare, demonstrated by their free spaying and neutering program. While these bi-annual events require patience due to high demand, the staff ensures thorough pre- and post-operative care for every animal. Although no organization is perfect and I've had minor incidents that left me unimpressed, their dedication and effort are consistently evident.
The PDSA is a hospital and vaccination facility for animals. It is an NPO ( Non profit orgazation) The staff supporting, doctor, aides, cleaning staff and security personnel are extremely efficient, helpful and kind indeed.Their empathy and compassion speaks volumes of people who care with a conscience.I recommend this facility to anyone who need to seek assistance for their animals. Please note that there are no parking facilities with ths establishment
Been taking my puppy due to sickness and he unfortunately didn't make it. I must say the staff is amazing 👏, we got the best treatment . I highly recommend and appreciate everything you do. Keep up the good work.
We made use of their mobile unit in Maraisburg for vaccines and deworming. The guy that was assisting was awesome, helpful and professional. Will def use them again!
I am deeply disappointed and heartbroken by my experience at this PDSA. I took my dog in because she was unwell, but the staff were unable to tell me what was wrong with her. She was given three injections and sent home without a clear explanation or diagnosis. When I returned, the staff member who assisted us was extremely impatient and rude. My dog was then given another three injections. Shortly after taking her home, my dog began having seizures. I had to rush her to a 24-hour emergency vet, where she sadly passed away. This has been a traumatic experience, and I feel there was a lack of care, communication, and compassion throughout our visit. I trusted this service with my dog’s life, and I am devastated by the outcome. I hope this review encourages the clinic to reflect seriously on their treatment practices and how they communicate with worried pet owners.
Not that great really, i paid R200 for 3 visits each to the vet and they treated him for mange which my dog did not have and i knew this because we went to a different vet that done the same and treatment hasn't worked at all, he has Dermatitis which he got from his father and all his other siblings have it and i had informed them about this yet they still treated him for mange even after we said its not working and made the excuse that the machine they use for cream's was not working so they would continue treating him for mange and had told us to get a dog wash or something like that from them and when we went they didn't want to give it to us saying they wanted to treat the dog first when they were no help in the first place never coming back here ever again
The veterinarian was rude and didn’t even do a proper check up on my pregnant dog, my dog died after an hour. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
