Noordheuwel Animal Clinic / Nails To Tails Grooming Parlour

We had the best experience with you when we brought our dog Lucy in. She was a ridgeback/labrador cross bread. The staff and doctor were very professional and helpful in dealing with her as if she was one of theirs. Our dog died this morning in their care but they worked around the clock to save her life. I will always go back to them and highly recommend them. Well done and thank you for being there for Lucy.

I wish I can give a GREATER rating than 5 stars. What lovely vets (both Dr. Johan and Dr. Mignon) and staff at Noordheuwel animal clinic. My 4 legged girl was handled with the greatest of respect and love by both vets and staff. Unfortunately, we had to make a decision to send her to heaven...but wow, the support and love that we got can not be put into words. A touch on the shoulder, a hug as we said good bye. Thank you so much for the EVERYTHING on the day....even an "I'll meet you in the light" love letter to us on behalf of my dearest 4 legged girl, Marmite. Such a small gesture, but such a HUGE impact... Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We've been bringing our pets to Noordheuwel Animal Clinic for over six years, and their service has always been outstanding. Whether it's for an illness, vaccinations, or a routine checkup, their team is consistently friendly, responsive, and eager to assist. We've never had any issues and always leave feeling confident in their care. Their grooming service is top-notch! Lily and her team treat our fur babies with so much love and attention. From drop-off to pick-up, the process is seamless, and our pets always come home looking absolutely stunning. Highly recommend them for both veterinary and grooming services—you won’t find a more dedicated and caring team!

I took my cat to Dr Dirk after a cancer diagnosis. He performed surgery and was honest about the risks, explaining that continuing further procedures could be extremely delicate and might cause internal bleeding. Because of this, he referred us to another vet in Noordheuwel for further assessment. At the Noordheuwel practice, surgery was performed, and we were later told that nothing could be done. However, shortly after this procedure, my cat suffered severe internal bleeding. This strongly suggests that an attempt was made that was unsuccessful, yet this was never clearly communicated to us at the time. A week later, due to complications and suffering from the internal bleeding, Dr Dirk had to put my cat down. What has been most distressing is the lack of transparency and communication. As pet owners, we rely on vets to be open and honest about what procedures are being attempted, the risks involved, and any complications that occur. Unfortunately, this was not our experience

Literally the BEST VET there is, from Lilly and her team in the grooming parlour to the helpers , everyone is kind and caring and then we get the AMAZING man DR Ferreira , what a incredible man , it is clear he does it for the passion and not just the money. Thank you for being the wonderful people you are 🙂 🙂

No effort given in looking at our pup. He was very ill but we were advised its something in the "air" when actually it was Parvo! Thanks a lot

Our one dog ( male, 3 years old, Jauq) has a genetic condition that causes blindness we took him to Noordheuwel vet a year ago and they said it was normal and his not blind and to just leave it, we recently took him to another vet because we could see his eyes were looking funny, the vet said his almost completely blind now and if we caught this a year or two ago we could've stopped it and saved his sight. My dog Scooby ( male, 15,years old) we took him to Noordheuwel vet where they kept him there his last days on a drip, they said they don't know what's wrong his an old dog, the staff I felt was horrible, we took him to a different vet and they again said we could've done something but he'd past away, they said they could've run a lot more tests. I phoned and asked about Scooby when he was at noordheuwel vet and they gave little information on how he was doing or what was wrong with him, when we visited him it was extremely hot where they kept the dogs, all the dogs were panting and visually struggling even the dogs there for dental, I've also heard from close friends that their dog passed away there because of neglect
