Clarendon Veterinary Clinic

Dr Oliver Tatham and the team at Clarendon Vet are truly exceptional. Dr Tatham went above and beyond in the care he gave to Hope. From the very beginning, he showed incredible compassion, honesty, and professionalism. He took the time to explain everything clearly, kept us consistently updated, and was always realistic and transparent about her condition and treatment options. What stood out most was how deeply he genuinely cares about his patients — not just medically, but emotionally as well. Knowing Hope was in such capable and caring hands gave us immense peace of mind during a very stressful time. The entire Clarendon Vet team was kind, supportive, and attentive throughout the process. We are so grateful for the dedication, skill, and empathy shown to Hope and to us as her family. We would highly recommend Dr Oliver Tatham and Clarendon Vet to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our girl. 💙🐾

Clarendon Veterinary Clinic is a gem in Pietermaritzburg. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr Tatham and his team are not only highly skilled but genuinely passionate about animal care. Whether it's a routine check-up or a critical emergency, they treat every pet with compassion and urgency. We have first hand experience with our fur baby, Jazzy whose leg was badly injured and required urgent intervention. With lots of good tender care and many stitches later, Dr Tatham got her on a quick path to healing and getting back to her same old fit and feisty German Shepherd self. What sets this clinic apart is the personal touch. Chernelle and the other staff take time to explain whats required, answer questions, and ensure both pets and owners feel at ease. Their pricing is fair, and the service is consistently excellent. I’ve seen firsthand how they go above and beyond, saving lives, comforting worried owners, and treating every animal as if it were their own. If you're looking for a vet that combines expertise with heart, Clarendon Vet is the place to go.

Dr Tatham is excellent. He fixed up my Ozzie, can't see any scars, saved Sausage after cutting his tongue and recently removed Worsie's eye with remarkable stitching.Well done from the Cat Dad as my family call me. Mark Elston.

Dr Tatum is absolutely wonderful. We love him. Our pets love him. Tracey is also always very friendly and helpful.

Dr Oliver Tatham is hands-down one of the best vets in the area! His exceptional knowledge and years of experience truly shine through, and his pricing is fair and reasonable. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dr. Tatham is truly the best vet you could ever hope for. His top priority is always the wellbeing of the animals in his care, and it shows in everything he does. He’s straightforward, honest, and tells you exactly what you need to know - no sugarcoating, just the truth that will help your pet. In many ways, he’s the veterinary equivalent of Dr. House, with an incredible ability to see beyond the obvious and get to the root of the problem. His knowledge, experience, and dedication are unmatched, and you can feel confident that your pets are in the very best hands. If you want a vet who genuinely cares, who goes above and beyond for his patients, and who always puts their health first, Dr. Tatham is the one. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
