Camdeboo Veterinary Clinic

I really recommend this veterinary clinic! These people REALLY care about your animals. I had an emergancy with my 14 year old maltese poodle late March 2025. Our vet in Beaufort West injected her with anestesia to cut her toe nails, as I was struggling to do it at home. This caused her kidney failure, with I did't know at the time. I went back and got empty promises that she was fine, after she threw up, had a loss of appetite and couldn't keep anything in. I even went back at 2am and he just said that she's fine, even though I knew she wasn't. I called around for a second opinion and after being told the Dr is busy and he'll call me back, I waited. And 9pm that night the Dr called me back and anyone who calls back hours after really cares. He told me a few things and asked me to bring her in. And after another sleepless night I drove 5am that morning from Beaufort West. I was there just before 8am and was greated by friendly staff, and was helped immediately. They took her to the back, and within 30mins I knew what was going on. 30mins compared to 3days (in Beaufort west) is crazy! The Dr explained my options, which sadly I didn't have any. They told me that she's very strong for making it this far with kidney failure but she's suffering. I had to make the hardest choice of my life. They comforted me and made her as comfortable as possible. They explained everything and then helped me help send her over the rainbow bridge. They also gave me a huge discount, which I did not ask for, proving to me that it's not about the money for them. I would've spend my last dime if it would've saved her. They showed me great compasion and then they even helped me pack her for cremation. These doctors as well as the staff really care and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for providing the best possible care for my baby. I miss her every single day but I know I gave her the best possible chance taking her to Camdeboo Veterinary Clinic. Thank you so much Camdeboo! Mau you rest easy my baby, until we meet again. A vet who realizes that pets are family and treats them like the beloved children they are. Came out at 10.30 pm when my dog was attacked by wild dogs, and my maltese was given real 5-star treatment when he visited here for his allergies. Recently, my latest adopted rescue dog had her cancer come back and she is getting her chemo here. I want the best for my 5 rescue dogs, and they receive it here!

The best vet in 100s of kms, always happy and the pets are always well looked after

Dr MR Hobson (Dr Mackie) as we know him 😃 what a wonderful person. May God bless you. Our Dog Bengi have allergies and after 2 days of treatment he is his usual self. Running around and kissings everyone. We were so worried after he just slept whole day after day with his allergies, he didn't want to play at all. Now he is kissings everyone and playing with our kids. So happy. 🥰 You are amazing and we are so happy to have our wonderful Bengi back 💜 Thank you

They've been absolutely wonderful with our four legged kiddos - dogs, my kitten and our goats too. They're always eager to help, the staff are just wonderful, it's clean, they're incredibly reliable and they treat one's animals as if they are their own. You can't go wrong!
