Dr Darko Vet Hospital and Vet Shop

Dr Darko and Yvette and their Team is the Best. Our 6month old pup, Rosie, broke her leg and needed an operation. We got 5 quotes round Gauteng as we are situated in Centurion, and we simply could not afford their prices. We had no options. I contacted Dr Darko Vet Hospital for a 2nd opinion, as I’ve heard Good things about them from Family and Friends who lives in Secunda and explained our situation. Dr Darko immediately offered to help us, said he really wanted to help Rosie and knew he could save her leg. They worked out a payment arrangement for us and I took Rosie through the next day. She was treated with so much Love, Care and Compassion from the start. I received regular updates, from the CT Scan to the operation to put a plate and her progress, we collected her a few days later. She was at the Best Place she could have gone too. I can recommend Dr Darko Vet Hospital to anyone. They are Friendly, Compassionate and very Professional.

Never trusting Dr Darko with any of my pets ever again! I took my perfectly healthy cat to Dr Darko to get sterilized , something that is supposed to be safe and common. My cat had absolutely no health issues and was only brought in to prevent future pregnancies. A few hours later, instead of picking up my pet, I received a video from Dr Darko telling me that my cat had passed away. What is completely unacceptable is that no explanation could be given. We were simply told there must have been a problem which neither them or their machines could pick up and that they cannot figure out the cause of death. Entrusting a healthy animal to a veterinary clinic should not end with a dead pet and zero answers. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and proper communication during such a serious situation is shocking and deeply upsetting. To make matters worse it was not the first time this vet let us down as a few years back i took my dog as he was very sick and wouldn't eat and just laid around ,the vet told me there was nothing wrong and left me with pills for constipation.Two weeks later we took my dog to another vet only for my dog to be put down as he had cancer that spread thoughout his whole body and there was nothing they could do,telling me that Dr darko didnt even do a proper job at consultating my pet.I am deeply dissapointed that I had lost yet another pet to Dr darko's incompetence I would strongly caution others before putting their trust into this pathetic excuse of a veterinary clinic.

After a stressful incident regarding our dog’s eye, dr Darko and his wife were very accommodating and came out to assist us on a Saturday night. Our dog’s eye is much better and we will continue to support the practice.

Went to see the vet in regards to our Malinois not eating his food , turns out he had giardia infection. They admitted him & took soo good care of our furr baby , We recieved amazing service. Would reccomend them to anyone. 🌸

Traveled all the way from badplaas to get my four legged kids groomed and pet friendly hair dye. The ladies at the parlour was amazing and handles my skittish child amazingly thank you GuGu and Veronica!! All staff very friendly and helpful as well as vet shop..

We only had good service from them. Everyone know our dogs by name when we arrive there. We have an extremely nervous little Emma and she don't like men at all and are scared of everything. But dr Muhammed just have the right touch with her and she is as calm as can be with him. Our other dog Elsa is always as happy as can be when she goes in there. And is extremely happy when she see sister Veronica. And Vusani that is doing all the heavy lifting, and holding down, as our Elsa is a big dog. He is so gentle with the her.

Most pathetic vet I’ve ever visited… I don’t understand how Secunda and surrounding people support this place. Darko is not an animal lover and does not deserve to be praised as such. As he suggests that we shoot our own pets, or take them to the SPCA, just because we can’t afford to pay R6000 for a few stitches.. this is ridiculous. And to whoever issued the license to this so called "vet", I hope you know that you’ve set free a heartless animal hater. The customer service and empathy at his office is warming and welcoming, however the service directly from Darko is pathetic. As a public figure and the face of Secunda’s leading animal services and care, I hope you feel ashamed of the image you set. Because it is simply a facade, that everyone is falling for. And thinking that treating people like this is acceptable, just because we can’t afford your rates. Shame on you!
