uShaka Marine World

uShaka Marine World is an absolute blast, especially on a quiet day with fewer people around 🌊 The short queues make it easy to enjoy the slides without long waiting times. The water is warm and comfortable, which makes the whole experience even better 😌 Everything feels relaxed, fun, and well-organized, perfect for just enjoying the moment. The variety of rides and attractions keeps things exciting from start to finish 🎢 It’s definitely not a place you want to rush at the last minute. The best time to visit is in the morning up until lunchtime, or from lunchtime until closing. Since they close at 5pm, arriving early gives you enough time to enjoy everything properly. 🌊😄

What a beautiful place! It has everything you could need to spend a complete day out, from shops to restaurants to the beachfront promenade. The aquarium itself is a "must visit"! The variety of marine life, including sharks and rays, is not to be missed. We also attended both the seal and dolphin shows - would recommend! 🙂 At the end of the day, you can choose one of the beachfront restaurants to have a refreshing drink with a spectacular view 😉

I highly suggest you check the website to know what areas are going to be closed due to maintenance. They post there regularly. And it helps avoid disappointment. They park was clean, quite quite through the week. All the rides were open although some opened later in the day. Their drinks and food are a bit pricey, so be prepared. There are lockers so you don't have to worry about your belongings. Aquarium was awesome. Lots to see and learn.

uShaka Marine World Review – December 2025 I visited uShaka Marine World’s aquarium with my son on 3 December 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. Beyond the impressive aquarium exhibits, we attended the penguin feeding, seal show, and dolphin show. Each one exceptionally well-presented and engaging. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share interesting facts, which added great value to our visit. The facility is well-maintained and offers a wonderful blend of education and entertainment for both adults and children. There’s plenty to explore, so arriving early is highly recommended to make the most of everything on offer. Overall, a fantastic family outing that we would gladly repeat.

uShaka Marine World in Durban was an exceptional place to visit, especially with family and small children. The kids were absolutely excited to see the wide variety of marine animals and colourful fish, and they thoroughly enjoyed the underwater experience in the shipwreck aquarium, which was truly impressive. The entire facility was well maintained and clean, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable. The dolphin show was a real highlight, well organised, entertaining and appreciated by visitors of all ages. There was something to keep everyone engaged, from young children to adults. Overall, uShaka Marine World offered a memorable and educational experience and is a fantastic attraction for families visiting Durban.

I will always adore this place. No matter what age you may be, this place will always bring you joy. We also watched the seal and dolphin show, what a treat! The food was also delicious, we had beef burgers and chicken burgers. Must visit.

Good place to bring the kids. Rides honestly aren't enough and some are out of order. You can literally do all the rides in less than 2 hours which is unfair for that price. Dolphin show is very nice. Aquarium nice too but quite small. My son snorkeled so that was an amazing experience for him. Wanted to do the Ocean walker as well but apparently it's discontinued don't know why. Overall experience was good. My son enjoyed himself. NB: PARKING ON EXIT IS CASH ONLY!🤦🏽‍♀️
