Runners Edge

I needed expert advise since the amount of shoes available on the market is confusing. I drove through from Hermanus and it was worth it. An evaluation was done and I have happy feet. Very happy feet. Service was great, friendly and helpful. Could see Bennie knows what he is talking about and the young man was a pleasure. Do yourself a favour and go, your feet will appreciate it. I’m from the Free State and was visiting Stellenbosch for the day when I came across Runners Edge online. For months, I had been agonising over where to find real, expert advice on the right shoes for my needs, so I decided to pop in while I had the chance. From the moment I walked in, the team was incredibly professional and attentive. They did a proper gait assessment and then brought out four different options that matched exactly what I was looking for — light trail walking and jogging. They patiently talked me through the differences between each shoe, explaining the support, structure, and feel in a way that made it easy to understand. I honestly wasn’t convinced I would ever find a "perfect" pair, but I walked out with shoes that make my feet genuinely happy. The service was knowledgeable, thorough, and refreshingly personal. If you’re looking for proper guidance rather than just a quick sale, this is the place to go.

Thank you so much for the outstanding advice! I haven’t bought running shoes without a gait analysis in a long time—especially after struggling with runner’s knee for a while. However, I’ve never been analyzed as thoroughly as I was by Bennie Stander. He carefully examined my old shoes, observed my movements while walking, running, and balancing, and then selected shoes specifically tailored to my needs. Another huge plus: Runners Edge has a wide selection, so I didn’t have to settle for the pair that just fit best. I found the one that fits perfectly and makes me feel truly comfortable, well supported, and incredibly light on my feet. And during my first run yesterday, that feeling was absolutely confirmed. I love these shoes!

We had a really great experience. I phoned them had an appointment within an hour came in. He was very professional looked at my gate gave some advice and found the perfect pair of shoes first shot. I will definitely be returning for some training too! Highly recommend!

I drove over an hour to visit Runners Edge, and I’m so glad I did. I received expert assistance backed by years of experience, and the service was truly outstanding. It was an absolute pleasure, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else. Thank you so much.

Happy happy feet!! Ernesto you gave me such great advise on my trail shoe selection and that tying trick works like a bomb. Always great advise and great service. Never buy running shoes anywhere else. This team is the best

Oom Bennie is absolutely amazing. My wife and I was struggling a lot to get the perfect shoes. But oom Bennie knew exactly which type of shoes will work for us. He takes his time to work with you and get the perfect shoe. The shoes for my wife was perfect. I had a bit of trouble with my right foot because of an injury. Oom Bennie suggested a few options, but he suggested to come back and gave me a few other options. The shoes I have now, work perfectly. It is so nice when someone want to help you and are not just in it for the money. Will not go to any other place ever again. Highly recommend Runners Edge.
