We really loved the museum. The women at the entrance was really nice and friendly. You can tell that everything shown in the museum was made with love. If you read through all the info signs you can really learn new things. Our highlight were the personal stories shared from different dog owners. Everyone who loves dogs will enjoy it!

Quirky little museum to kill an hour in. Interesting history of the relationship to dogs and SA on the first floor and then nice anecdotes on the second floor sharing individual’s love for their pets.

This museum is new, innovative and unique. An ideal place to visit if you share a love for dogs, and have a deeper connection with your furry friend. And to top the great initiative, they are also pet friendly. We were able to take our furry child with us for his first trip to a museum. And he could visit his first cinema and watch dog-inspired short films Tickets are R100 per person and available for purchase at the friendly lady behind the reception desk. They sell beverages and offer water for the four legged. There's a variety of dog inspired items to purchase from their store. This is a lovely initiative that pays respect to the four legged souls that impact our lives in such a positive manner, and often guide us to happier days. The significance is in the simplicity. This is a must visit, but don't go alone, take your furr child with you.

A wonderful experience. This museum is a must experience for dog lovers. You will see and learn the history of dogs in South Africa, see touching testimonials by South Africans about their canine companions, and see beautiful pictures of dogs that have been rescued by various rescue organizations in the Cape area. There is also an ability to listen to beautiful music dedicated to dogs.
