Hedianga Farm

We did the 15 km trail. It's a very well-marked trail ( and so is the 5km and 10km). So much so, that if you cannot find the next marker after a few metres, retrace your steps and you are bound to find it! The place is open, no shade. Towards end of September, beginning October, the Jacarandas are in bloom and makes the area so very pretty! The trail is not difficult. There are ups and downs but nothing strenuous. I'm sure young kids can do and enjoy the 5 km trail! Dogs are also allowed on the trails. All in all, a pleasant hike with great expanse.

Such a lovely spot with three different hiking trails! We did the 5km route with our kiddos and dogs and it was enjoyed by all. The coffee van in the parking lot was the perfect end to our morning. The entrance process was seamless, we paid the R65 per person fee (kids under 12 free) to the friendly security guard on arrival. Highly recommend for a nice outing

Great place to hike if you aren’t afraid of dogs. Easy trail though, more like a leisurely walk.

5Km, 10km and 15km hiking trails available. For the dog lovers this is such a great place to bring them along and you don’t have to pay for your dog. Weekly entrance fee R100.00 per adult Weekend entrance fee R65.00 per adult Monthly entrance fee R280.00 per adult Inclines are not hectic at all. I’d say it’s a bit rocky. Beautiful plants along the way and a water stream after 5kms on the 10Km trail. Definitely a trail I’d go for again soon. Quite an easy hike for avid hikers. There are awesome benches and braai areas to relax by after the beautiful trail.

Beautiful and even opens at 6am in winter. R65 for a week pass for adults. The route is well marked and slightly technical. You are welcome to bring dogs. I've heard the 15km has tough hills near the end and plan to do that next.

Did the 15km trail walk at Hedianga Farm. It was a lovely walk. Not over crowded like some of the others hikes in Pretoria. The the 15 km, especially the last 7km is up and down hill with a nice climb. The route is clearly marked. There is some beautiful views of Pretoria East from the top. Make sure you take plenty of water, especially on hot days. Dogs are allowed. Card payments not accepted at the entrance. Definately recommend, a nice walk in the middle of the city, but you don't feel it.
