3 years ago I booked my 2 cats in as we went overseas on holiday. While there got a call that Frosty's teeth were bad & would cost over R20k to take out. Very obediently I said yes, yes do it. ( Ja Baas ). Mid Jan 2025, booked both cats in for 15 days, as we went overseas. Collected them. Not a day later, they inform me that Rudolf needs his teeth taken out. Spoke to the vet I think, very suspicious to me. Have gone for a second opinion, they recommend a scale & polish in a few months time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Ixia Street Animal Hospital on Saturday because my furbaby Patchy suddenly had a swollen head and was in so much pain. I was stressed out of my mind, but the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel calm. They welcomed us so warmly, gave Patchy treats, and helped him super quickly. By the time we left, he was already happy and smiling again — such a relief. They even gave him a little gift, which was really sweet. What really stood out was the follow-up call to check how he was doing. That kind of care is rare. Thank you to the whole team at Ixia Street Animal Hospital. You guys honestly made a scary moment so much easier. Highly recommend! 🐾💙

We are writing to express our heartfelt and profound gratitude to Ixia Animal Hospital for the outstanding care our Yorkie, Cody, received during his recent dental procedure. ​The entire team demonstrated truly exceptional service. We brought our old lab to the vet for a check up. Had a very expensive series of tests done. He was certified cancer free with a bit of arthritis. He was given a "new arthritis injection"without our permission. Three days later he was peeing blood. We phoned the vet and was told we needed to settle an outstanding amount of R400 from the much larger bill for this whole episode before the vet would see our dog. Whilst sitting in the waiting room, my husband was discussing our dog's issues with the front desk staff, and one of them blurted it was a side affect of the injection. The other staff member elbowed her sharply. Three months later our dog, certified cancer free by the vet, had virulent cancer all over his palate and throat. Our beautiful happy dog so full of life had to be put to sleep. My husband is still heartbroken a year later. Absolutely convinced what they gave him killed him. Dreadful vet experience. Profit over Pets.

Ou beloved Cotton cat passed and we took her for cremation. They were super professional and I could feel the empathy that they had towards us. It is always difficult saying goodbye. On collection of her ashes, we received a hand written note expressing their condolences. They also gave us a plant in the cutest holder and my daughter will cherish this in remembrance of our Cotton cat. Sincerest thanks for making things a little easier for us.
