Old House Lodge (Est 2004)

Had a wonderful stay! The service was excellent and the room was spotless with everything I needed. The bed was amazing—best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages, thanks to the top‑quality bedding. The garden is lovely, and the property’s location is perfect with secure on‑site parking. Highly recommended for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Very good value for money. We always stay at Old House Lodge. The rooms are lovely: spacious, comfortable and clean. We love the courtyard and so does our dog. Save parking. The staff is amazing. Highly recommended. The lodge is on a fairly busy street, so it can be a little noisy sometimes.

When we arrived, we were allocated a room that had a very unpleasant smell, similar to sewage, and the bathroom was even worse. We requested to be moved, and although the receptionist initially said the facility was fully booked, she eventually agreed to relocate us and kindly assisted with our luggage.||||While she did explain the general rules of the facility, it would have been helpful to also be informed about the breakfast times. When we arrived for breakfast at 09:00, we were surprised to learn that breakfast ended exactly at 09:00. We asked the kitchen staff if they could prepare something simple, even just eggs, but our request was bluntly refused.||||We returned to our room, and around 09:30, while we were still preparing to check out, both the electricity and water were switched off without any communication or explanation.

Underwhelmed. Next to busy road and noisy. Overpriced for what it is. Mould in shower. Showerhead clogged and not clean. Fliklering lights. Has good potential. They use booking to get your info and then gost the platform and then booking does not get feedback from them then they keep on mailing us. Anyway. Good enough for a sleepover

Received a warm welcome from the guy at reception. The food was not bad. I really enjoyed breakfast but the options were very limited. It was my first time sleeping at a 4 star guesthouse and coming back to a room that is not made up and cleaned. The plates from the previous dinner were still in my room 😩 and i had to make my own bed. I have slept here before but the service was different this time. Quite disappointing 😞

The most wonderful treasure of a place to stay. Huge comfortable bed, lovely linen and decor. Exceptional service. Highly recommended.

Value for money. Clean and comfortable room with selected dstv channels. Breakfast good. Staff and owners very friendly and accommodating
