Rhino Retreat Clarens

The bath leaked, drains were all blocked and smelt like sewerage. The couches were tattered and torn. Only 1 remote was supplied so we had to keep running out to keep gate open for 2 cars. The squatter camp is a few meters away and you can hear it constantly. Not worth the premium price per night

A dog friendly place but owner complained about dog hair after we left? Everyday we had to ask for wifi top up for TV to work. The bathroom downstairs stunk of drain and the bath plug leaked so had to shower. The noise of traffic and pedestrians is loud as a Squatter camp is on the same road. We went for peace and quiet in beautiful Clarens and instead got an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Every time I visit I want to ask Bev to decorate my home. Comfortable, stylish, close to every lovely bit of Clarens and with a view to absolutely die for. I can never decide which area is my favourite. My dog and child love the garden and I can sit for hours in the hammock or bay window soaking up the peace. The wifi is fast, the kitchen is gorgeous and the linen is crisp. It's a haven for my family and my pets.

What an amazing place 😍 Extremely modern, clean and well equipped for a romantic weekend or with a group of friends. Garden is huge and pet friendly, completely fenced in so we could relax. Bev is the best host we've ever had. Can't wait to come back 🍂🍁 Very clean and comfortable beds and facilities.

Gorgeous home. Very comfortable and kitted out with everything one could need! Pet friendly too, but the yard at the back was very overgrown when we visited, so we had to keep a constant eye on our Doggies as we did not want them venturing into the thick bush during summer.

This is such a special place. Bev is available for any questions and answers promptly. This is the best pet friendly home and is the perfect home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated, everything that one needs at home. It is close to town and the conservation walks, so no need to drive anywhere. Our pups are spoilt as they provide a water bowl, dog bed and little biscuit treat and not to forget sherry for the humans, so the whole family is spoilt. ❤️

Absolutely magnificent stay! Nothing short of 100% of our expectations met. Surrounding views are just breathtaking. Everything you require is at your fingertips. Hats off to Rhino Retreat hosts Bev & Duncan and staff. Attention to detail is one of the best I have personally experience.
