This is the second time I’ve taken my two dogs here—first for a full shave, and now for a shave for one and a wash for the other. Both times, they have looked the best they ever have coming out of a parlour! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the older gentleman is especially kind and clearly cares about the animals. I also love that they keep my dogs together in a pen while they wait, and you can see exactly where they are kept, which gives me peace of mind. The grooming is always done with great attention to detail—the shave is even and neat, and my dogs come out looking beautiful. I won’t take them anywhere else! Highly recommend!

I tried this parlour because I figured that you have to expand your serives to see whonhas the better service. I have to say that this was probably the worst experience I've ever had. The man at the front was absolutely miserable. He's rude on the phone and speaks in clipped tones in person. He also scolded my or someone else's dog in a way that made me think he was 2 seconds away from kicking the dog. They did a really poor job of clipping my dog's nails. On top of that, I have never seen such terrible working conditions. It was unwelcoming, dirty, and downright gross. I will give it to them, they're prices are good. Unfortunately, I can get better quality service (for both human and animal) for the same price elsewhere.

Disgusting treatment!! My two miniature schnauzers went to Novas grooming in Vredekloof. We walked into the parlour and were greeted by one of the groomers as the owner was not there - 1st red flag. I noticed the 2nd groomer busy tugging harshly trying to remove knots from a Yorkie's ear - 2nd red flag. Knots should be shaved off and not combed out with force. I digress. We then decided that we'd rather wait for our dogs to ensure they were treated correctly. Good thing we did. After our first doggy was washed the individual in charge of drying, put him on the table & started to towel dry him so roughly that he pulled his face away. Our dogs have always been well behaved at groomers, we even have pics of them falling asleep - so it is not the dog! Then came the blow drying. This man was pushing and pulling our poor doggy as he tried to escape his clutches - our dog barked a few times during this to warn of discomfort. Instead of supporting the dog under his tummy for stability a taught leash was used around his neck. Then it was Raisin's turn for blow drying - disastrous. I was COMPLETELY MORTIFIED when I saw how that man tugged Raisin's arms and legs around to the point that he was losing balance while trying desperately to stabilise, then his back leg being pulled to the side of him and lifted so high that his other back leg was now also in the air scrambling to ground himself. During this process, Raisin was also yipping and barking a bit which he has never done before. I asked the man what he was doing but he couldn't hear me - or the dog's discomfort - because he had his earphones in. I started shouting at him to stop but he couldn't hear me. By that time I had intervened and stopped that man from mishandling my dog further. He was upset when I asked what he thought he was doing and when I told him that's not how you treat animals. I told him to leave it and I would rather dry him myself - which I did. My mom came around to also see what was going on and Raisin clung to my mom, his favourite person, while I dried him with the dryer. The man argued about "How am I supposed to dry the dog without getting under his belly?", however, they have a flexible drying tube which he could have easily used to dry under his belly and if my dog really needed to be upright, support him to stand while drying. It's so easy to not mistreat animals. The owner came around to see what the problem was but I was only met with defensiveness on his part saying that they "don't mistreat dogs here" meanwhile he was behind the wall and didn't see what I saw. Once we handed Raisin over to the grooming ladies and I went back around the wall, they said to the owner that they'll continue to groom my dogs if I "don't come and interfere with their work again.". Hello? Am I just supposed to let you mistreat my family? The owner then gave us a whole spiel about how many schnauzers they groom. It's not about the quantity but about the quality. They told us they'd be done with the groom in 30 minutes to an hour whilst other groomers take 1 to 1.5 hours to groom our dogs usually - another red flag. I know what I saw, it was horrific and I feel SO bad for all the dogs that just get dropped off there. They can't tell us how bad it is in there, we just see them after their groom and they're excited to see us and then we assume all is fine and good. I will NEVER take my dogs back there. Your dog pays the price for a cheap and quick cut. This is my family and I'm sure most of you see your pets as family too, so why would you subject your family to harassment? I wish I could leave 0 stars. Train your staff to treat animals better, or get more qualified staff.

Nova's Grooming is exceptional! I have a Maltese that is deaf and blind, so she is super sensitive. Yet, she comes back calm, and beautifully groomed. As do my other two Maltese. Nova's staff are so friendly and professional. Thank you Hannes for keeping our babies looking beautiful.
