Cliff Cottage, Hermanus

Lovely cottage with private parking in the back. My standalone cabin was great, nicely decorated wit a big bathroom including walk-in shower. The bed was super comfy. A large bottle of water and a bottle of wine are included free of charge in the room. The manager Edmarie was such a lovely person. The only downside is that it is a 15-20 minute walk to the center but if you don't mind walking it is a great location. It is also very close to the cliff path.

Beautiful, cozy, familiar atmosphere! The room was so nice and we had fresh roses on the table. A beautiful relaxing garden where we could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the silence. The breakfast was great! Hostess Elizma is a warm, very welcoming and helpful person! We will definitely stay here again!

The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is really delicious. Check-in and breakfast are available only after 8 a.m., so please be aware if you plan to arrive or depart early. They will recommend restaurants if you ask, but please note that the places they suggest are located away from the city center. Before you even confirm whether you want to go there, they may go ahead and make a reservation for you at a set time and even arrange a taxi (which, of course, you have to pay for). If you prefer to decide for yourself or want to dine in the city center, it may be better to simply search on Google Maps. But it is still good that they kindly recommend a local place, and also again, the property is really nice and comfortable.

Great location, safe place, so close to the cliffs and very cosy room in a separate building. Super clean, quite, just perfect. Breakfast unbeatable and the most friendly people I have met during my trip. Certainly a strong recommendation!

The location is perfect, right across the cliff path taking you to the center. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The host makes sure her guests get back from a trip safely. If you don’t feel comfortable walking back from dinner, just send her a message and she’ll arrange a trusted taxi to pick you up. Well recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Cliff Cottage in Hermanus. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready with advice and assistance. The breakfast was excellent every morning and a real highlight of our stay. The rooms are comfortable, well-kept, and thoughtfully equipped, with direct access to the peaceful garden. The location is ideal – right across from the famous cliff path for beautiful walks and whale watching, and just a short stroll to restaurants and shops. Cliff Cottage combines warm hospitality, a great setting, and excellent value. We would gladly stay here again.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Cliff Cottage, very well looked after by Elizma and Johann....the most fantastic breakfasts!! Nothing was too much trouble, we had a great room and phenomenal ocean views were a 3 minute away. Would highly recommend.
