Superb, meticulously clean, professional, beautiful, organized campsite with excellent ablutions. Wonderful warm dam to swim in, wonderful natural spring water to drink, power plugs for caravans & motorhomes, tents. Swim in the dam 🏊‍♀️ walk on the mountain trails 🥾 ride your mountain bike 🚴 feel the fresh clean air, braai (barbecue) & just RELAX! Awesome value for money. Excellent clean top quality ablutions with great finishings & and excellent disabled friendly spacious bathroom (evidence of good proactive planning for disabled campers, and campers in general). Our first ever motorhome trip on our global tour. Great place to start. Thanks 🙏 Will definitely come back to this value-for-money peaceful & activity-friendly campsite near Hermanus (just off the good tarred road) again and again and again. One of, if not the best campsite we’ve ever stayed at. Nestled on and around the mountain near Hermanus, lush green grass and spacious plots. Electricity and water points at every plot. Small shop selling wood, ice and basic necessities so no need to leave campsite. Shout out to Hugo, the camping manager, who assisted with everything we needed (very friendly, even delivered firewood straight to our plot) Clean, modern and well-equipped ablutions (best we’ve experienced at a camp site). Pet-friendly too, our miniature poodles had ample space to run around on the grass and had peace of mind as it was extremely safe for them throughout the stay. Definitely a 5 star campsite, that has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable camping trip.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hemels In The Valley Campsite (15km from Hermanus) is purpose-built as a luxury campsite — and they’ve absolutely nailed it. The lush green lawn feels like you’re pitching on a perfectly kept garden, not a campsite. The ablutions are next-level, and the Family Bathroom is genuinely luxurious (beautifully designed, spotless, and the kind of space you’d expect in a high-end lodge). The showers are piping hot with proper water pressure — no dribbles, no drama. Thoughtful details everywhere: each campsite has its own power and water supply, and there’s even a dedicated high-pressure wash bay for mountain bikes. The layout is superb — spacious, practical, and clearly designed by someone who actually camps. Biggest highlight: Hugo (the camp manager). He makes you feel right at home and nothing is too much effort. I honestly challenge you to find a better laid-out campsite with this level of attention to detail. Beautiful bathrooms, lush lawns and peace and quiet

What a piece of heaven this campsite is. Neat and quiet with stunning views and trails. From the booking with Carla, to the welcome from Manager, Hugo and Staff, right down to the stunning ablutions, Hemels in the Valley definitely lives up to its names. Despite the rain over the Easter weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
