Damaged property while delivering on international move. Despite insurance, only silence from Elliotts. Also, item went missing from house while Elliotts team were unloading the move… only shrugs from Elliotts. • Edit/ Response: Dear Elliott Team, Thank you for your response dated 4 February 2026. While I appreciate the clarification that Elliott acted as the local delivery agent for Doree Bonner, this does not absolve your team of direct responsibility for the damage and loss that occurred under your staff's supervision during unloading and delivery at my premises. Specifically: Damage to the dining room chairs: This was caused by your team's poorly trained staff removing the protective plastic wrapping using a sharp blade, which resulted in cuts/slashing into the fabric. Two chairs are now unusable, and to restore the set, two of the ten chairs will require reupholstering with matching (or as close as possible) fabric. This is clear negligence in handling protected items—not an inherent risk of transport that insurance should solely cover without accountability. Insurance exists to facilitate claims, but it does not excuse preventable damage from improper handling. Missing Garmin Watch from the house: Your internal investigation, including a polygraph test on one staff member (with negative results shared), does not adequately address my concerns. The suggestion that I should provide operational security camera footage to prove or disprove theft/loss during your team's presence shifts responsibility inappropriately. It is not the customer's duty to install or maintain surveillance systems to safeguard property while professional movers—whom I trusted and paid for their expertise and care—are actively working in my home. This points to potential serious gaps in staff training, vetting, supervision, and overall protocols at your Johannesburg/South Africa branch. Relying on non-operational cameras as a reason to close the matter feels dismissive rather than thorough. Despite reporting these issues promptly and despite the insurance in place, I have received only silence or deflection. Passing everything back to Doree Bonner does not resolve the local accountability for what happened on-site under Elliott's control. I kindly request a substantive response regarding the missing Garmin Watch, beyond the polygraph and camera excuse. I would have preferred to resolve this amicably and directly with Elliott, but now, I have no choice but to escalate via Doree Bonner.

We moved overseas, from Cape Town to San Francisco, Elliot absolutely nailed it! Everything packed tight and dry, nothing was lost (across multiple crates) and there was zero damage on even the most delicate items. Thank you Elliot, you are amazing!

be careful of their pricing policies. i’ve been a client since 2022 and in December ‘25 they sent a notice that in January ‘26 my cost would increase by 142%. no explanation other than it was time to pay more. now i have the headache of sorting out a different storage solution from overseas.

Elliotts has unilaterally decided to put my storage fees up by 90%. Doubling my storage fees overnight! I have been storing with them since 2021. This is PRICE GOUGING for which we have LAWS in South Africa and an entire Act protecting our interests as Consumers. The OCGSO has to act responsibly on Prosecuting Elliotts which cannot be above the law!
