Amazing experience. Beautiful views. Wildlife. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Off-grid. The 4x4 trail isn’t for the feint hearted 😄 but worth it.
Our Favourite Campsite – A Place We Keep Coming Back To We’ve returned to this campsite time and time again, and each visit reveals a new area to explore on foot. One of the things we love most is that we can bring our dog along. We prefer the more secluded sites with their own ablutions and wash-up areas—perfect for a bit of privacy and quiet. The terrain is wonderfully varied, and there’s a deep sense of peace throughout the whole place.
Had the best weekend, the service from the host was exceptional. Make sure you have a 4x4 and everything is off grid... Will definitely be returning...

Great time camping for a couple nights. Great private facilities at each site. Nice mix of wildlife on the property and beautiful views. Hosts were incredibly friendly and enjoyed bouncing around in their vintage safari vehicle.
Our stay in the safari tents was an absolute dream! The setting was secluded and peaceful, offering complete privacy to immerse ourselves in nature. The tents were surprisingly spacious and impeccably clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A special shoutout to our fantastic host, Alan! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. When we realised we'd forgotten ice, he was incredibly helpful in bringing some for us. The bushveld wood provided created the perfect fire for our braai. His friendly and accommodating nature truly added to the experience. We highly recommend taking a 4x4 or a vehicle with a diff-lock. The terrain on the reserve presented some challenges, but with the right vehicle, we were able to explore the amazing routes and witness breathtaking views. The wildlife sightings were fantastic - we spotted impala, graceful giraffes, and even some elusive nyalas. Overall, our weekend adventure was truly remarkable. We highly recommend the Waterberg Wilderness Reserve!
We just had the most amazing weekend. Alan is such a great host - thank you Alan. Your farm is beautiful with such great views and small little adventures for our kids. We will definitely be back - this time with a 4x4 so we explore more of the farm!
