Trogon House and Forest Spa

It was absolutely great choice to visit this amazing hotel, however we got one problem there. Money theft happened in this hotel, 300$ were stolen from my bag pack. We understood it when we have just started to exchange dollars in the bank next day. We often carry our money with us, that’s why we absolutely confidence this situation is happened when we were in sauna. This is the one moment then we didn’t take money with us. In the result, there was a refusal to make any payments because they don’t have any cameras. All discussions with Ms.Carol and Mr. Mynhardt didn’t lead to anything. Just pay attention to your money in this hotel- you can lose it. But this hotel is excellent.

Surpassed our expectations! An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. A wonderful welcome, excellent service and the room took our breath away. It felt like we were immersed in the forest. It was so wonderful that we extended our stay by an extra night and would have stayed longer if we could.

wifi a def no-no rooms okish there is absolutely nothing to do except sleep food was also very average i would think for the price we paid there would be nespresso in the rooms but nothing absolutely nothing is free even to make use of the jacuzzi is a few thousands.I would not  recommend for anyone younger then 60 i would also not go again

My husband and I had a couples massage here on our honeymoon, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had. The setting is unreal — in the middle of the forest with the most breathtaking views. It felt like we were in a movie. The massage room was beautiful and peaceful, and the two therapists were so professional and made us feel completely relaxed. It was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had. A truly special experience we’ll never forget.

We visited the Forest Spa on our Honeymoon for the couples' package and my o my what an experience. First of all, the beauty of the spa and the surrounding area is out of this world, secluded and romantic. The staff are so friendly and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. The massages were to die for and the I have to commend Gertrude and Ado (I hope it is spelled correctly), they are of the best masseuses I have seen in a long time. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. My only drawback was the road to get to the spa and the parking as it proved slightly on the difficult side of things.

A little hidden gem. A welness, in the middle of ... a forest. The room, the sauna, the jacuzza .... all with an open view of the surrounded forest. That gives you a special feeling. We had an amazing massage, next, enjoying the private spa with some good MCC and a nice platter of apertizers. It was a grey day in September, so the fireplace gave it all an extra swung Nice welcoming room and they have options for a stayover

We had a wonderful time at the Trogon House and Forest Spa that led to a highlight of our trip in South Africa in January 2024. The whole experience of staying in rooms located in the treetops, a very limited number of guestrooms and respective guests, individualized service, and being immersed in the flora and fauns of the region was a unique experience that we would like to repeat someday. The hotel is located behind the monkey land complex, and signs in the parking lot of this complex show the way to the hotel. The small road that leads around monkey land is not very wide, but driving slowly along the way was not any problem at all for us or our simple rental car. The rooms are a bit different, with no big divisions between sleeping area and bathroom, which again was no problem at all for us. We slept exceptionally well during our stay, maybe because of the fresh jungle air and low light pollution. The pool was fantastic, and relaxing on the deck looking into the jungle with a drink in hand was very soothing. The service of the whole staff was exceptional and personal needs such as vegan options for breakfast and dinner were all accounted for. Speaking of dinner, we enjoyed our multicourse menus at the hotel, which we looked forward to all day long. As mentioned, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to repeating the experience in the future. We can highly recommend the Trogon House and Spa to friends, family, and anyone looking for a highlight on their trip along the garden route in South Africa.
