Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Bloemfontein

We attended the SPCA Bloemfontein kersliggies festival.. It is an annual event that caters for the entire family.. Elders, older and younger, toddlers and pets. We enjoyed it so much.. My toddler was so excited seeing all the lights. There's food and drink stalls, gift shop, amazing photo booths, face painting and some scooters for the younger kids. All their dogs were locked in their kennels but we could interact with them... and you will most likely fall in love with all of them, especially the puppies.. It was a night filled with lights, laughter, excitement, music and a lot of barking.

I want to sincerely thank the SPCA team for their quick and professional response this morning. A dog had gotten stuck between my yard and my neighbour’s, and while the owner was insistent and disrespectful, the SPCA handled the situation calmly and safely. Special thanks to Mr. Martins, who came to our property and immediately addressed my safety concerns. He was patient, understanding, and ensured the dog was safely reunited with its owner while also reminding the owner to be more responsible in the future. I truly appreciate how seriously the SPCA took both the safety of the community and my personal concerns. This experience reassured me that the SPCA is committed not just to animals, but also to the safety and well-being of the people in our community. Excellent work SPCA team!

I never met a rude and unprofessional Inspector, (No Name Tag) The experience we had yesterday at SPCA Bloemfontein was horrible, I had to experience elderly people being disrespected, being treated like nothing, like useless beings, because someone in you organisation felt his above them. I don't wish what we experienced on anyone, I just wish they put someone with more humility in his position (Inspector). The one you have now is degrading the name of your organisation (company). I sincerely hope you learn how to treat people better in the future.

People were friendly, but we wanted to adopt 2 kittens that we fell in love with immediately. We were turned down because we do not stay in Bloem. In my opinion a plan could have been made. The team were not willing to walk the extra mile to try and liaise with our home town. Two kittens would have gotten the best house, with love and safety...now they are still part of the system and our family is heartbroken

They take in all kinds of animals. From cattle to chameleons. Mostly in need of food for the animals,blankets, and financial donations. Fun fact: The Bloemfontein SPCA opened their doors in 1914 and have been on the same premises since then.

Thesw lovely people do not get nearly enough credit. The handlers knew every animal's personality and were so caring. Any establishment that cares for animals with such little help is deserving of any and all blessings. Thank you for letting the St. Andrews boys volunteer for the afternoon.

Only went in to the shop side to buy a dog jersey, so can't rate the entire establishment. The store however was very neat, and extremely affordable. Will recommend for fur parents all around
