One of the best spar I've been to. It has variety of products. It's super clean and offers excellent service. The tellers are super fast ,the is no long queues no matter the date of the month. It also has a big parking lot
I’ve been shopping at SuperSpar The Square for a long time and never had any issues — until my most recent visit. I bought a watermelon, paid at the till, and headed to my car. Halfway there, a staff member came running after me and demanded to see my slip. I understand that mistakes happen and that checks may sometimes be necessary, but the way it was done made me feel like I had done something wrong. After looking at my slip and seeing that I did pay for the watermelon, he simply walked away without even apologising for the inconvenience or the misunderstanding. A simple "sorry" would have gone a long way. I left feeling uncomfortable and treated like a suspect rather than a loyal customer. I hope the management will address this, because I’ve always enjoyed shopping there until now.
The Spar itself is awesome and their food is fresh but they hire foreigners only over South Africans. I even doubt that they are documented. Our country has unemployment crisis but they choose to overlook the locals and hire foreigners. Their fruits and vegetables are free but their cooked food is terrible, I have bought it a couple of times and they never failed to disappoint me. Service is great, I never had any issues with their service. I really like the new renovation they have done at the store. But they could have done better when it come the way queue is set up, to me it doesn't make sense and its unnecessary.
Their bakery is top i am not allowed home without doughnuts and if I should buy it anywhere else my kids don't touch the doughnuts. Overall this spar is my everyday and monthly shopping stop. Everything is tops at this spar
