Wierda Park Pets

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Wierda Park Pets. I purchased a kitten on Saturday, 15 November 2025, and the conditions in the shop were concerning. The kittens were kept in a small, dirty cage, the litter box had not been cleaned, and the cage was placed directly next to the rabbits. The kitten I purchased was even hopping like a rabbit, which shows how stressful and unnatural the environment was. Within 2–3 days of bringing him home, he developed severe diarrhoea with blood, and despite trying to treat and care for him, he sadly passed away shortly after. This has been an extremely heartbreaking experience. I strongly urge the store to improve hygiene, cage cleanliness, and animal-welfare standards, and to ensure the animals they sell are healthy and properly cared for. No pet owner should have to go through this.

Absolutely stunning guppies. Animals are well looked after, only shop that sells kittens n puppies, they need more customers or they will have to close down, been there for over 30years. Its a small family owned business.

Very friendly staff and received good service. Prices are affordable and fish are in good health. Wish they have more products to choose from though, but otherwise you'll get everything you need.

Good day everyone. I would like to recommend this pet shop to all.The service is great and staff are friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. The people will go out of their way to help you even if what you are looking for is not available they will see how they can help, I am from Limpopo and they did not have what I was looking for so they called their supplier to bring me what I needed on short notice

I received the best service from this pet store today. The staff helped me set up the reptile tank I bought from them at no extra cost and the advice they gave me on the care for the reptile that I did not even purchase from them is much appreciated. Thanks for the great and friendly service. I will gladly continue to support this store.

I had to go back for the 2nd time, to get wat the lady recommended. Very friendly and helpful. She explained what my dog need.

Pretty good looking pet shop. Bought my first fish tank here and it came reasonably cheap. The prices for everything else is also reasonable. All the equipment is good quality and won't cause you any problems. Their service is also quite good. Well done to this shop.
