I don't know since when Woolies has started selling old food but I am extremely unhappy with the quality of the products that I bough on Friday, the 19 of Feb 26. The triple choc cookies was so dry and it seemed to be burned. The danish pastries had no taste and was extremely dry as well. The doughnuts turned sour, one day after I bought it. The hot cros buns has no taste and you are pay R45.99 for 6 pack. I am highly disgusted. I do not expect this from Woolies.

I experienced terrible customer service recently at the Woolworths in Centurion Mall. ​My specific issue was being denied a credit difference refund for items that went on sale only a week after I purchased them. This type of price adjustment/refund is a common and accepted practice in almost every other major retailer. ​When I approached the manager, they allegedly refused to listen to my full explanation, simply citing 'store policies.' Crucially, they did not clearly share or explain the exact clauses that prevented this credit difference refund, citing only the store's policy against price adjustments on subsequent sales. ​I felt my honesty was completely disregarded. I could have easily purchased the items again at the sale price and simply returned the original full-price items, an alternative method that would have achieved the refund. The manager’s inflexibility, lack of willingness to find a resolution, and failure to clearly cite the restrictive policy resulted in a highly negative experience and a feeling that my customer loyalty was undervalued.

I visited the Woolworths store at Centurion Mall to collect my store card and received absolutely excellent customer service. The staff clearly take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy helping customers. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely continue returning to this store for future purchases.

Went to the Woolies cafe on my birthday in June and the food was delicious, we decided to go again because we had such a good experience only to be very disappointed in the service in food, I ordered the breakfast and the eggs were hard and looked like it was put in the microwave for re-heating and poked with a fork, all the food was tasteless and my son's burger patty was burnt, we waited very long for our food. I regret not speaking up right then and there but we didn't want to spoil our day fighting about food so we left it. We are now reluctant to return as we don't know if this place are going to be better, but I'm not willing to take a chance and waste my money, for that price I expect good service and good food.

I placed an order yesterday for 20 donuts in four different flavours to be collected at 3pm today. When I arrived, I waited for 20 minutes only to be told that one of the flavours had only 3 left, despite me needing them for my son’s birthday tomorrow. What is the purpose of placing an order if the items aren’t reserved? I requested to speak to the manager and waited another 10 minutes, but no one came. The staff showed no remorse, and I was also told that I should have received a call to confirm collection , which I never did. In the end, I had to drive to another Woolworths to get what I needed.
