SPAR Hartswater

Dear Spar ,please teach Gomolemo your cashier about customer service. I had more than 10 items on your pay point that says 10 or less she immediately attacked me not explaining why i can't pay there. She also did not bother to greet me. She just continued to complain about my item's and attacking me and complaining to her colleagues. It seemed like it was a big issue for her to leave her chatting session with her colleague to assist me with more than 10 item's. She definitely needs training when it comes to customer's. If she greeted me in a better way and explained i was never going to refuse going somewhere else but she however continued back chatting me and giving me attitude. I also paid mroe than 10 items on that very same till it was never a issue but to her it seems like a big issue. The shop was not even busy.

Vanessa is very kind and welcoming. She gives the Best customer service. Talk about requirements of retail - she is a people’s person, clean always showing-off her teeth 😁💯.

The add says ' give that man a Bells'. My comment, give your kitchen staff a medal! They are awesome. I was visiting the town to repair a unit in one of the medical centers, and ended up looking for food at lunch time. You did NOT let me down. Over the two days we had the gammon, pita, spaghetti, liver -and-rice-with veggies, chicken burgers and chips and to snack on some biltong and cabanossi and it was just too good to be true delicious! There is a short lady chef (sorry, I do not know her name) who does the salad. She also made the Pita for us fresh (salad+ russian + chillies and some extras). I never got to taste it, my wingman had it, and he raved so that I had to try it...I missed out. When I went back, the pita bread was finished...maybe next time?

Dear SPAR Group Management and Hartswater Store Team, I am writing to extend my sincere compliments and deep appreciation to your wonderful cashier, Omphile, at the SPAR Hartswater store in the Northern Cape. On 19 December 2025, she turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a smooth and pleasant one with her proactive, professional, and friendly service. That day, Standard Bank was experiencing widespread technical issues affecting SPAR systems nationwide. I initially tried to complete a purchase with cashback at TOPS at SPAR (the liquor section), but it wasn't possible. The helpful liquor cashiers directed me to the grocery store kiosk for assistance. That's where Omphile truly shone! She calmly explained the technical problem, demonstrated excellent product knowledge, and proactively suggested a clever workaround: doing a cash send to myself followed by a withdrawal. Her solution worked perfectly, allowing me to complete my transaction and return to TOPS to pay for my items without any further hassle. In a busy festive season when stress levels are high, Omphile remained efficient, attentive to detail, and incredibly positive – her warm smile and can-do attitude genuinely brightened my day. She handled the situation with such professionalism and initiative, making my shopping experience not just resolved, but truly enjoyable. Omphile is a credit to the SPAR team and embodies the friendly, customer-focused service that keeps us coming back. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to her – she deserves recognition for going above and beyond! Omphile, you're a superstar cashier who turns challenges into triumphs – thank you for making SPAR Hartswater the best! With warm regards and continued loyalty to SPAR, A Grateful Customer from Hartswater Godfrey Mje
